How conditional rules work

You create a rule based on a field, dropdown, or custom value. When the condition is met, the item appears automatically. When it is not met, the item stays hidden.

For example: if Length of Wall = 0, a material like Screws stays hidden. When the value becomes greater than zero, Screws appears automatically.

Setting up a conditional rule

  1. Open the estimate and enter Edit Mode

  2. Select the material, field, or section you want to control

  3. Click Set up conditional rules

  4. Choose the field and define the condition β€” for example, "Length of Wall greater than 0" or "Include Paint = Yes"

Verify the result

Save and review the estimate:

  • If the condition is not met, the item stays hidden

  • If the condition is met, the item appears automatically

Video Overview
In this video, you will learn how to use conditional rules to hide or show estimate items based on a selected value or field entry. We will show how to create the rule, save it, and confirm that the item only appears when the condition is met.
