How to Edit Client Descriptions in a Proposal

The Client Description is the client-facing text that appears for each line item in the proposal. Use this to explain the scope of work in plain language that the client will understand.

Steps

  1. Open the proposal and click Settings on the left side panel

  2. Under Proposal, make sure Client Description is toggled on

  3. To edit the description for a specific line item, go back to the estimate and open the line item

  4. Click the Client Description feature inside the line item editor

  5. Enter or update the text that the client will see in the proposal

  6. Save the changes — the updated description will appear in the proposal automatically
