How to Use My Templates Folder

J
Written by Jorge Arias Silva

My Templates is your personal library of saved templates. It includes templates you have created from scratch, templates you saved from the ZevBit Marketplace, and blank line items you built and decided to save for future use.

How to Open My Templates

  1. Open the estimate you are working on

  2. Click Add Line Item

  3. Click Select From Templates

In the Template Library, click My Templates on the left side

The center section will display all the templates saved in your library. Use the search bar at the top to find a specific template faster.

My Templates folder opens with a search bar and template list

How to Add Templates to Your Estimate

  • Click on any template in the list to select it — it will automatically appear in the Templates Selected panel on the right

  • Continue selecting templates as needed

Important: You can select up to 4 templates at a time. If you try to add more than four, a message will appear indicating the maximum has been reached. Remove one from the selected panel before adding another.

  • Review the Templates Selected panel on the right to confirm your selections

  • Click Save — the templates will be added directly to your estimate as line items so you can continue building

Managing Templates — Three Dots Menu

Click the 3 dots next to any template for additional options:

More Information

Review or update the template details:

  • Internal Name — the name used internally by your team

  • Display Name — the name shown in the library

  • Internal Description — optional notes about what the template is for

  • Photo — an image to help identify the template visually

Move To

Move the template into a different folder to keep your library organized:

  1. Click Move To

  2. Select an existing folder or create a new one

  3. Click Save

Tip: You can also create a new folder directly from the left side by clicking New Folder. Use folders to group templates by service type, project type, or any workflow your team prefers.

Create Copy

Duplicate a template when you want to make changes without affecting the original:

  1. Click Create Copy

  2. A copy is created with the same name, description, and photo

  3. Edit the copy to add new details, adjust materials, or try different formulas

  4. Save when ready

Tip: Always use Create Copy before experimenting with an existing template — your original stays untouched until you are ready to replace it.

Delete

Removes the template from your saved templates, so it will no longer appear in the My Templates folder. Use this option carefully.
