The Detailed Budget page is structured to keep your entire budget organized and accessible from a single, consistent layout. At the top of the page, there is a fixed header section that remains visible as you navigate through the different parts of the budget. This section acts as both your navigation and your high-level summary.
On the left side of this header, you’ll find the Back option, which returns you to the main Budget list where all company budgets are stored. Next to it, the budget name is displayed, along with a pencil icon that allows authorized users to rename the budget file directly.
On the right side, the page shows the budget status, which can be either Default or Draft. Only one budget can be marked as Default at any time, as this is the version used across the system.
Any additional budgets will remain in Draft status unless explicitly set as the default. Next to the status indicator is the Save Budget button. When selected, it prompts you to choose whether to save the current version as a draft or set it as the default budget.
Centered within this header is the budget tab bar, which includes sections such as Field Labor, Equipment, Overhead, Materials, Subcontractors, Overhead Recovery, and Sales Goal.
This tab bar is the primary way to navigate through the budget. Each tab represents a different component of the budget, and the information shown in the main page area will change depending on which tab is selected.
Note: The system saves your work automatically whenever you change tabs. However, you will be prevented from switching tabs if you have added a new line without filling in all the required details.
While the layout below updates dynamically, the top header remains constant, providing a stable reference point as you move between sections.
As you enter or modify data within any tab, the values shown in the tab bar update automatically. This allows you to see a real-time summary of how each section contributes to the overall budget without needing to navigate away from your current view.
