When the Field Labor tab is selected, the layout below the fixed header updates to display all labor-related data for your budget. This section is focused on defining, reviewing, and adjusting the workforce that drives your operations.
At the top of the page, you’ll see the Annual Field Labor Reports panel. This section provides a summarized view of your labor metrics, including total field labor cost, billable and unbillable labor, total man hours, and average cost per billable hour.
These values update automatically based on the information defined below, giving you a quick snapshot of your labor performance.
Below the summary, the main Field Labor table displays your workforce organized by crews. This data is pulled directly from the Team section of the platform, meaning your employees and crews are already structured and available for budgeting.
Note: If you don’t have any employees added in the team section this table will show empty.
Within this table, you can review and modify key details such as pay rates, work season, days worked per year, hours per day, overtime settings, and bonuses by hitting the Three-dot menu.
Any adjustments made here will directly impact your total labor cost and all related calculations across the budget.
At the top right of this section, there is an Add Employee button, which allows you to include additional team members if needed. This ensures your budget accurately reflects your operational capacity and staffing plan.
Further down the page, you’ll find the Field Labor Cost Per Month chart. This visual representation breaks down labor costs into billable and unbillable categories across the year, helping you understand how labor expenses are distributed over time.
In the top right corner of this chart, there is a selector labeled “Select crew or employee”, which allows you to filter the data. By choosing a specific crew or individual employee, you can isolate their contribution and analyze their cost distribution more closely.
Together, these sections provide both detailed control and high-level visibility, allowing you to manage your labor data while immediately seeing how it affects your overall budget.
