Subcontractors Tab (Detailed Budget)

Written by ZevBit Software

When the Subcontractors tab is selected, the layout mirrors the structure and functionality of the Materials tab, focusing specifically on planning and tracking subcontracted work costs.

At the top, the Forecasted Subcontractor Cost table allows you to enter and manage subcontractor expenses. Each row represents a subcontracted cost where you can define a description, assign a subcontractor, and input both monthly and annual cost values.

The Subcontractor field is connected to an existing list, allowing you to select from previously added subcontractors. If a subcontractor is not listed, you cannot add a new one directly from here, you should go to Teams > Subcontractors > + Add Subcontractor.

On the right side of the table, the “+ Add Line” button allows you to add additional subcontractor entries. Each new line appears within the table, and existing entries can be removed using the action column.

Each row also includes an expand/collapse control (double arrow icon). When selected, it expands the row to display a mini column chart showing the monthly distribution of that specific subcontractor cost.

Below this section, the Total Subcontractor Cost by Month table provides a visual summary. When no data is entered, this section remains empty.

Once subcontractor costs are added, it automatically generates a column chart showing how these costs are distributed across each month.

This tab provides a consistent and familiar interface for managing subcontractor expenses, aligning with the same behavior and structure used in the Materials tab.
