Researching competitors for your e-commerce business can help you decide what to sell and avoid, as well as stay up-to-date with trends and new products. The Competitor Research feature of ZIK provides information about your competitors, and this article explains how to use it. Take a look at the video we made for this guide!

Step 1: Go to the Competitor Research Tool

There are two ways you can access the Competitor Research tool:

1). Using the Competitor Research tool in the menu

If you already know the name of your competitor, you can search for them directly. Click the Competitor Research icon from the menu.

Select the eBay or AliExpress button in the top left corner, depending on which platform your competition is using. Enter the eBay or AliExpress ID of the competitor in the textbox at the top.

In the dropdown menu, choose the number of days for which you wish to see the seller's analytics. You have a choice between 7, 14, 21, and 30 days. Then, click the Search button.

2). Using the Scan Seller Option

If you donโ€™t remember the name of the competitor, you can use the Scan Seller feature to access the Competitor Research tool. You can find the Scan Seller icon on any product listing when you use the Product Research or Category Research tool on ZIK.

When you have found an item you like, simply click on the Scan Seller icon next to the name of the seller to open the Competitor Research page.

Step 2: Research your Competitors

On the Competitor Research page, you can see all the important information, including their Sell Through rate, Active Listings, Sale Earnings, and more. This data can help you find the right items for your store and give you an idea of how to price your products.

You can also use the Bulk Scanner tool, which we have discussed in more detail in past tutorials and videos. Next to the Bulk Scanner option is the Add to Watchlist button, which allows you to save a competitor so you don't have to look for them repeatedly.

Simply click the Add to Watchlist button, enter a comment, rate the competitor, and then click the Save Competitor button.

The filter section below the seller analysis can be used to filter out irrelevant products by setting a minimum and/or maximum value for 30 Day Sales, Total Sales, and Current Price.

If you scroll down further, you can see a list of all the items that the competitor is currently selling. For each product, you can see the image, Product Name, Upload date, Total Sales, Current Price, and more.

Next to the Current Price, you can see how many people are currently selling that product. You also have access to the Item Finder feature and the Scan Title feature.
