The Product Research tool is a powerful feature of ZIK Analytics that helps identify profitable and winning products. It allows users to view detailed statistics and graphs for each product type, as well as useful information about the sellers and it can help users decide which items are the best fit for their target audience.

This guide explores how to use the eBay Product Research tool effectively and make the most of ZIK Analytics to help you boost your business. You can also check out the video we have prepared:

Step 1: Go to the Product Research Tool

Click on the Product Research icon in the left sidebar menu.

On the Product Research page, click eBay in the top left corner and enter the name or keyword of the item you're looking for in the search box.

You also have the option to configure the filters to get more specific results. Here are some of the filters:

Exclude phrase: Type in keywords or names for products you want to exclude from the search results. For instance, when looking for smartphones, you could want to exclude iPhone 4.

Marketplace: Choose the eBay site where the products are listed. For example, you might want to find products on ebay.co.uk or ebay.com.au.

Feedback: Type in the minimum and/or maximum number of reviews to find products with reviews in a specific range.

Price: Set a minimum and/or maximum price to find products in a specific price range.

Sale date range: Choose from 7, 14, 21, or 30 days. This filter will affect the number of sales and reviews for the products in the search results. For example, for each product in the search results, you may want to see the number of sales made in the past 21 days.

Once you are done setting the filters, click on the Search button.

Step 2: Research the Products

ZIK Analytics will display all of the data associated with your search query. You can see important information like Sell through, Listing, Sold Items, Sale Earnings, and more. You can use this information to gauge the demand of the product in the market.

You can also assess the level of competition for your product. For instance, a high number of listings means that it will be difficult to rank high in the search results. A low sell-through rate, on the other hand, indicates that fewer people are purchasing the product.

If you frequently search for the same query, you can make the task easier by saving your search. Select the Save search button.

After that, you'll be taken to the Add to Search List page. Add a comment, give the search a rating, and then click the Save Search button.

ZIK Analytics also shows you a pie chart and an area chart on the product research page. The pie chart shows the distribution of sales earnings from that product. You can hover over any sector in the chart to see which seller got that particular percentage of sales earnings (from the total Sale Earnings).

Meanwhile, the area chart displays the number of sales made each day over the last 30 days. Navigate over any point to see how many sales occurred that day.

If you scroll down a bit further, you can see all the search results related to the product. For each listing, you can see the seller's name, amount of feedback, 30 days sales, total items sold, price, and item location.

You may also view the product name and image, which, when clicked, will redirect you to the eBay product listing page. For each listing, ZIK Analytics also offers the Scan Product (shown by a graph icon) and Item Finder (represented by a box icon) features.

We've discussed these features in greater detail in other guides as well as YouTube videos.

You can also analyze each seller by clicking on the Scan Seller icon next to the seller's name on each listing.

This will take you to the competitor research page of that particular seller, where you can see their Sell through, Active Listings, etc. You can also specify a minimum and/or maximum value for 30-day Sales, Total Sales and Price.

Finally, you may also filter the results by clicking the Filters option at the top of the list, then selecting Dropshippers only and Excluding VeRo.
