Brand Boards let you store your logos, brand colours and fonts in one place so they are instantly available in websites, funnels and email marketing. This guide covers three different ways to create your brand board, managing existing boards, and using your branding in the funnel builder and email templates.

Before you start

  • Access to a ZipLeads sub-account with the Marketing tab enabled

  • Your logo and favicon files saved on your device (or already in Media Storage)

  • Your brand colour hex codes

  • Your website URL if you want to import a brand kit automatically

1. Open the Brand Boards section

  • Click Marketing in the left-hand side menu.

  • Click Brand Boards in the top menu bar.

  • Stay on the Design Kit tab, which lists all of your existing brand boards.

Step 1

2. Start a new brand board

Click + Add Design Kit at the top right. The Create your Brand Board window opens with three ways to build a board: import from your website URL, start from blank, or choose a preset template.

Step 2

3. Choose Start from blank

In the 'Or choose from below' section, click Start from blank (the first tile).

Step 3

4. Name the brand board

  • Click the pencil icon next to the board name at the top of the editor.

  • Type your board name, for example ZipLeads Brand Board.

The middle of the screen previews your logos, colours and typography as you build them.

5. Upload Main Logo

  • On the Logos tab on the left, click the pencil icon under Logo 1.

  • Media Storage opens. Select an existing file, or click Upload at the top right to add one from your device.

  • Click the uploaded file in Media Storage to set it as Logo 1.

Step 5

Tip: Supported file types are SVG, PNG, JPG or GIF, with a maximum upload size of 10 MB.

6. Select the uploaded file and repeat for Logo 2

  • Click the pencil icon under Logo 2 and repeat the process for your second logo or favicon.

Step 6

7. Check both logos appear

Both logos now show in the preview panel in the middle of the editor. When you are happy, click the Colors tab (the palette icon) at the top left.

Step 7

8. Set your brand colours

  • Click the default Gray colour swatch and enter the hex code of your main brand colour. You can also use the colour slider to pick from the spectrum, or the eyedropper tool to pick a colour from the page.

  • Click outside the box to close the picker, then rename the colour in the field beside it, for example Green.

  • Repeat for the second colour, and use + Add for any extra colours.

Step 8

Tip: At Least two and up to 10 colours are supported and the colours you save are available in your colour picker.

9. Choose your fonts

  • Click the Typography tab (the T icon) at the top left.

  • Click the Font 1 dropdown and choose a font from the list.

  • Click + Add to include a secondary font if needed.

Step 9

Tip: Up to 5 fonts are supported and at least 1 font is required. Saved fonts appear in your font selector.

10. Save the board

Click Save board at the top right. Use the Back arrow at the top left to return to the Brand Boards list, where your new board is now shown.

11. Create a board from a template

  • Click + Add Design Kit again.

  • Scroll the 'Or choose from below' section and hover over a template of your choice (e.g., Tender, Desert, Dusk or Coffee).

  • Click Choose on the template you want.

Step 11

12. Edit the template board

The template opens as a brand board. Edit the name, logos, brand colours and typography exactly as you did for the blank board, then click Save board. You can also click Set as default at the top right to make this your default board.

13. Create a board from your website URL

  • Click + Add Design Kit.

  • Paste your website address into the website URL field at the top of the window.

  • Click Import Brand Kit.

Step 13

14. Wait for the import to finish

An Import has started message appears. The import pulls your logos, colours and typography from your website and can take a few moments.

15. Review the imported board

Check the generated board. If a warning reads "Some brand assets couldn't be found", default logos have been added for anything missing, such as a secondary logo. Click View details to see what could not be imported.

Tip: Anything not present on your website, such as a favicon, will not import and must be added manually.

16. Fix any missing assets, then save

  • Click the pencil icon beside the asset you want to replace, for example the favicon, and upload the correct file from Media Storage.

  • Adjust the colours and typography on their tabs, rename the board using the pencil icon at the top, then click Save board.

17. Manage an existing brand board

Back on the Brand Boards list, click the three dots to the right of a board to Edit it, Set as default board, Clone this board, or Delete it.

18. Find your brand board logos in Media Storage

  • Click Media Storage in the left-hand side menu.

  • Click Folders at the top of the page to expand the folder list.

19. Open the Brand Boards folder

  • Click the Brand Boards folder. Each board you created has its own subfolder.

  • Click into the subfolder, for example ZipLeads Brand Board, to see the logo files ready to use anywhere in the account.

Step 19

20. Open a funnel in the editor

  • Click Sites in the left-hand side menu, then open the Funnels tab.

  • Click into the funnel you want to update and click Edit on the step you want to change.

21. Apply a brand colour to an element

  • In the funnel editor, click the element you want to restyle, for example a button.

  • In the settings panel on the right, scroll down to the background colour section and click the colour swatch.

  • Your saved colours appear under Brand Colours at the very top of the colour picker. Click the brand colour you want.

Step 21

Step 22

This works for text elements too, where the same Brand Colours row appears when you edit the font colour.

23. Open an email template

  • Click Marketing in the left-hand side menu, then click Emails in the top menu.

  • Click the Templates tab and open an existing template to edit it.

24. Use brand colours and fonts in the email

  • Click a text element in the email.

  • Use the font colour control in the toolbar and choose a colour from the Brand Colors row at the top of the picker.

  • Open the font dropdown in the toolbar to pick from your brand fonts, which also sit at the very top of the list.

25. Swap the logo in the email

  • Click the logo element in the email.

  • In the Edit logo panel, click the pencil icon beside the image and select a logo from your Brand Boards folder in Media Storage.

  • Click Save Template when you are finished.
