Conversations in the ZipLeads mobile app gives you quick access to the tools you use to personalise messages, track engagement and reuse common replies. From the message composer, you can insert Trigger Links, dynamic values, WhatsApp Flows and Snippets without leaving the conversation. These tools help your team reply quickly while keeping your messages relevant and consistent.

What Are Mobile Conversation Tools?
Mobile Conversation tools put your most-used messaging resources right inside the ZipLeads mobile message composer. Tap the + icon while replying to a contact to access supported Trigger Links, Custom Values and dynamic values, WhatsApp Flows and Snippets. This makes it easy to add personalised or interactive content when you're away from your desktop.
The available tools are:
Trigger Links: Insert trackable links that record contact engagement and can start click-based workflow automation.
Custom Values: Insert reusable or dynamic information into messages without typing it in each time.
WhatsApp Flows: Send supported interactive WhatsApp experiences that let contacts complete actions inside WhatsApp.
Snippets: Find and insert reusable text from your organised Snippet library.
Key Benefits of Mobile Conversation Tools
Having these tools inside mobile Conversations cuts down the steps needed to write relevant, actionable messages. You don't need to switch to other areas of ZipLeads or keep typing the same information. You can use your existing messaging resources from the conversation you're already in.
Save Time: Reuse existing content and dynamic information instead of typing common messages over and over.
Increase Engagement: Add trackable links and interactive WhatsApp experiences that encourage contacts to take action.
Improve Personalisation: Insert supported dynamic information into messages with less manual data entry.
Maintain Consistency: Use approved Snippets and saved values to keep messaging aligned across your team.
Support Automation: Use Trigger Links with workflows to respond automatically when a contact clicks a tracked link.
Stay Productive on Mobile: Use your common Conversation tools while messaging from the ZipLeads mobile app.
Trigger Links
Trigger Links are trackable URLs that show you when a contact interacts with a link you've sent. When a contact clicks a Trigger Link, ZipLeads can record the click, and a Trigger Link Clicked workflow trigger can use that activity to start automated follow-up actions. You can use Trigger Links across supported messaging channels, including SMS, email, Facebook and Instagram messages, and WhatsApp.
In mobile Conversations, select Trigger Link from the + menu to add an existing Trigger Link to your outgoing message.
A Trigger Link is handy when you want to:
Track interest in an offer or resource.
See which contacts click a particular URL.
Start a follow-up workflow after a click.
Apply tags or update contact information based on engagement.
Segment contacts based on link activity.
Creating or inserting a Trigger Link doesn't create the follow-up automation for you. If you want something to happen when the link is clicked, set up a workflow using the Trigger Link Clicked trigger.
Custom Values and Dynamic Values
Dynamic values let you insert information without typing it into every conversation. ZipLeads supports reusable Custom Values, plus other merge-field categories that can pull in information linked to contacts, appointments, accounts and other supported records. The options available can vary depending on the feature and where you're inserting the value.
Custom Values are especially useful for information that stays the same, such as:
Business phone numbers.
Support email addresses.
Website URLs.
Office hours.
Standard disclaimers.
Frequently used links.
Information that's unique to a single contact or record is usually handled by the matching contact, appointment or other dynamic merge field, rather than a reusable account-level Custom Value.
In mobile Conversations, tap the + icon and select Custom Value to browse the dynamic information available for your message.
Where you can, pick values from the picker instead of typing merge-field syntax by hand. This helps make sure the value you insert works in the current messaging context.
WhatsApp Flows
Please Note - WhatsApp Flows are only available if you have subscribed to WhatsApp via Zipleads. This is a paid upgrade.
WhatsApp Flows create guided, interactive experiences that contacts can complete inside WhatsApp. Depending on the Flow you've set up, customers can share information, make selections or complete supported actions such as booking an appointment, without being sent off to a separate conversation.
Before you can use a Flow, your WhatsApp integration and the Flow itself must be set up in ZipLeads. WhatsApp settings, templates, phone numbers and Flows are managed under Settings → WhatsApp.
From a supported WhatsApp conversation on mobile:
Tap the + icon in the message composer.
Select WhatsApp Flow.
Choose the Flow you want from the available list.
Review the message or Flow selection.
Send it to the contact.
Specific Flow requirements or limits depend on how the Flow was built. For example, the appointment-booking Flow doesn't support calendars that have payments turned on.
Snippets
Snippets are reusable text or email messages that help your team reply quickly while keeping communication consistent. The ZipLeads Snippet system supports folders and search, so it's easier to manage a large library of approved replies. Supported Snippets can also include personalisation such as Custom Values and Trigger Links.
In mobile Conversations, use the Snippet picker when you need a ready-made reply without rewriting the message.
You can:
Browse organised Snippet folders.
Search for a Snippet by name or keyword.
Select reusable content for the current conversation.
Review the inserted content before sending.
Edit or personalise the message when needed.
Selecting a Snippet fills the composer with the prepared content. It doesn't send the message straight away, so you can review or change it first.
Users accessing Snippets through Conversations need the Conversations → View & manage conversation permission.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do Trigger Links automatically start a workflow when I insert one into a mobile message?
No. The link can track a contact's click, but you need to set up a workflow with the Trigger Link Clicked trigger if you want the click to start specific automated actions.
Q: Can I create a new Trigger Link from the mobile message composer?
The mobile composer gives you access to existing Trigger Links while you write a message. Create and manage your Trigger Links in ZipLeads first, then select them from the mobile conversation.
Q: What happens if a dynamic value doesn't have any data?
It depends on the feature and the value. In many cases, a merge field with no matching data will show as blank. Check important contact or record details before sending live messages.
Q: Are Custom Values the same as contact-specific information?
Not always. Reusable Custom Values are meant for information that stays the same, such as a support email or business URL. Contact-specific information usually comes from contact fields or other supported merge-field categories.
Q: Can I edit a Snippet after inserting it into a mobile conversation?
Yes. Inserting a Snippet fills the composer with the prepared content, so you can review and adjust it before sending.
Q: Why can't I find a WhatsApp Flow while writing a message?
Check that you're in a WhatsApp conversation and that WhatsApp and the Flow you want have already been set up. WhatsApp Flows are managed from Settings → WhatsApp → Flows.
Q: Why don't I see these options in my mobile app?
Make sure you're running the latest version of the ZipLeads mobile app. If you've updated and still can't see these options, contact the ZipLeads support team.
