The Settings page lets you manage common Forms, Surveys and Quizzes settings across your whole account from one place. You can turn supported settings on or off in bulk, then create individual exceptions when you need them. Search, status filters, entity counts and a summary of unsaved changes help you see the impact before you save. This guide explains how to set up account-wide settings, manage individual overrides, and review changes before you apply them.
The Settings page under Forms, Surveys and Quizzes lets you manage supported settings across many forms, surveys or quizzes in your account. This is different from the settings inside an individual Form, Survey or Quiz builder. Use the Settings page for bulk changes and individual overrides. Use the builder settings when you're editing one specific form, survey or quiz.
What are Settings for Forms, Surveys and Quizzes?
The Settings page gives you one central place to manage supported settings across Forms, Surveys and Quizzes in your account.
Each supported setting shows how many entities currently have it turned on. You can use Enable all or Disable all to stage an account-wide change, then override individual forms, surveys or quizzes when you need exceptions.
These controls manage the same settings you'll find inside each individual builder. Changes stay staged until you click Save changes.
Important: The Settings page in this article is reached from Sites → Forms/Surveys/Quizzes → Settings. It's different from the settings inside an individual Form, Survey or Quiz builder.
Key benefits of Settings
Settings cut down on repetitive set-up while still letting you control individual exceptions.
Account-wide control: Turn supported settings on or off for every applicable entity in one action.
Per-entity exceptions: Override individual forms, surveys or quizzes without changing the rest of your account.
Clear visibility: See how many entities currently have each setting turned on.
Faster discovery: Search by name and filter loaded entities by All, Enabled or Disabled.
Safer bulk changes: Review the impact of staged updates before applying them.
Reversible staging: Use Discard to undo everything staged since your last save.
Two-way synchronisation: Changes made here show up in the individual builder, and builder changes show up in Settings.
Audit visibility: Settings changes update the entity's Updated on and Updated by details.
How to manage settings across Forms, Surveys and Quizzes
The steps are the same for Forms, Surveys and Quizzes. Start from the right Settings page, choose a setting, then apply a bulk state or create individual exceptions.
Open the Settings page
Use the navigation path below rather than opening an individual Form, Survey or Quiz builder.
Product | Navigation |
Forms | Sites → Forms → Settings |
Surveys | Sites → Surveys → Settings |
Quizzes | Sites → Quizzes → Settings |
Forms have six supported settings. Surveys and Quizzes have five, because Create conversation on submission is only available for Forms.
Apply a setting in bulk
Bulk controls let you stage the same setting across all applicable entities in the selected product.
Open the right Settings page.
Choose the setting you want to manage from the menu on the left.
Check the count showing how many entities currently have the setting turned on.
Click Enable all to stage the setting as on for all applicable entities.
Click Disable all to stage the setting as off for all applicable entities.
Review the pending change before saving.
Bulk actions apply to every applicable entity, including ones that aren't currently visible.
Create individual exceptions
Individual controls let selected entities use a different state from the bulk setting before you save your changes.
Open the individual list using the matching control:
Forms: Manage individual forms
Surveys: Manage individual surveys
Quizzes: Manage individual quizzes
Then:
Search for an entity by name if you need to.
Select All, Enabled or Disabled to filter the entities currently loaded.
Use the toggle next to an entity to stage an individual override.
Repeat for any other exceptions.
Review the Unsaved changes summary.
Click Save changes to apply the staged updates.
Rows you've changed may show Changed before they're saved.
The count below the list shows how many entities are loaded compared with the total. Bulk actions still apply to all applicable entities in your account.
For example: Showing 10 of 221 forms — bulk actions apply to all 221.
Supported settings
The Settings page brings existing builder settings together, so you can manage supported entities without opening each builder one by one.

Generate submission document | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Sticky contact | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Save progress | Yes | Yes | Yes |

Use GDPR compliant font | Yes | Yes | Yes |
The Settings sidebar uses these shorter labels:

Save progress
Timezone
GDPR font
Surveys and Quizzes don't include Conversation.
Review and save changes
The Settings page stages updates before saving them, so you can review bulk changes and individual exceptions before they affect your forms, surveys or quizzes.
When you change a setting:
Updated rows may show Changed.
The bottom bar shows Unsaved changes.
The save summary describes what will happen.
Save changes applies all staged updates.
Discard reverts changes staged since your last save.
Save summaries can include messages such as:
“3 forms will be enabled”
“All forms will be enabled, 2 disabled”
These are just examples of how the summary works, not a full list of possible messages.
Nothing is saved until you click Save changes.
