What Are Pause, Resume and Cancel?
These campaign controls manage emails that are still waiting to be sent. Pause stops a campaign for now. Resume restarts a paused campaign. Cancel stops that scheduled campaign for good.
Pause
Stops the campaign for now. You can resume it later.
Resume
Restarts a paused campaign. If you resume it before its original scheduled time, it sends on that schedule. If you resume it after the scheduled time, it sends straight away.
Cancel
Stops the scheduled campaign for good. You can't resume a cancelled campaign.
Note: You can pause or cancel Schedule, Batch Schedule and RSS Schedule campaigns.
How to Pause, Resume or Cancel a Scheduled Campaign
Use the campaign actions menu to manage a campaign that has been scheduled but hasn't finished sending.
Go to Marketing → Email → Campaigns.
Find the scheduled campaign you want to manage.
Click the three-dot menu (⋮) next to the campaign.
Select Pause, Resume or Cancel, depending on the campaign's current status and what you want to do.
Pause vs. Reschedule
Use Pause when you want to stop a campaign for now and might resume it later. Use Reschedule when you need to pick a different future date or time to send.
Important: For supported scheduled campaigns, you must reschedule at least 60 minutes before the execution time.
