Consistent email designs are easier when you can reuse elements and layouts you've already built. The Saved Items feature in ZipLeads lets you save content you use often and quickly add it to other email templates in the Design Editor. This article explains how to save, find, reuse, rename and manage saved items, so you don't have to recreate them each time.

What are Saved Items in the email builder?

Saved Items are reusable design components that you store and access directly in the ZipLeads Email Design Editor. You don't need to rebuild common email content, such as branded headers, footers or promotional sections. Instead, you can save an existing design and insert it into another email template.

Saved items are available across all email templates created in the Design Editor in your account. This helps you keep your branding consistent and cuts down on repetitive design work.

Supported editors:

  • Design Editor: Supports saving and reusing email design items.

  • AI Editor: Does not currently support Saved Items.

For more information about email components, see Different Elements in Email Builder.

How to save and reuse items in the email builder

Saving design components you use often makes creating new email templates faster and more consistent. The steps below explain how to save an existing element or layout, find your saved content, reuse it in another template, and organise your saved items for quick access.

Note: Saved Items are not available in the AI Editor. Switch to or use the Design Editor to use this feature.

Step 1: Open the Email Design Editor

  1. Log in to your ZipLeads account.

  2. Go to Marketing → Emails → Templates.

  3. Create a new email template or open an existing one.

  4. Make sure you're using the Design Editor.

Step 2: Save an element or layout

  1. Find the element, section or layout you want to reuse.

  2. Hover over the item to show its editing toolbar.

  3. Click the Save icon in the toolbar.

  4. A confirmation message appears when the item has been saved.

Tip: Save components you use often, such as branded footers, headers and promotional sections, to cut down on repetitive formatting.

Step 3: Access and reuse saved items

  1. Open the Saved Items panel from the left-side toolbar in the Design Editor.

  2. Find the element, section or layout you saved earlier.

  3. Drag the saved item from the panel to where you want it in your email template.

  4. Adjust the inserted item's content or styling as needed.

Important: Saved items can be reused across email templates in the Design Editor within your account.

Step 4: Search, rename or delete saved items

Clear, descriptive names make saved content easier to recognise, especially when your library has several similar elements or layouts.

  1. Open the Saved Items panel.

  2. Use the Search bar to enter the name or a keyword for a saved item.

  3. Click the three-dot menu (⋯) next to that item.

  4. Select Rename or Delete.
