Previewing and testing emails in ZipLeads makes sure your layout, links and personalisation look right before you send. This guide covers preview modes and test sends, so your campaigns and templates look right the first time.
What is Preview & Test for email campaigns and templates?
Preview & Test are tools in the ZipLeads Email builder. They let you check your content visually and send a safe test copy of an email before a live send. You can check personalisation, layout and links without affecting real contacts or campaign metrics.
Use Preview to see how your email looks in the builder. Use Send Test to send a sample to your inbox for a final check.
Note: Email templates are reusable email designs. Email campaigns are the actual emails you send or schedule to contacts.
Key benefits of previewing and testing emails
Accuracy: confirm merge fields, custom values and conditional content appear as intended.
Compliance: check that required elements (like unsubscribe sections) are there before launch.
Quality assurance: catch layout, image and link issues early, especially if you imported HTML.
Speed: make changes quickly without sending to real lists or skewing your analytics.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why doesn't the unsubscribe link work in my test email?
Unsubscribe is turned off in test emails on purpose, to protect your list. It works normally in live sends, based on how you've set it up.
Q: Do test opens and clicks affect my analytics?
No. Tests are only for checking your email. Performance metrics come from live sends.
Q: My test didn't arrive. What should I check first?
Check your Spam/Junk folder, check your From address and email service settings, make sure the recipient isn't suppressed, and try a different email address.
Q: Do custom unsubscribe links work in tests?
They show in the email, but they won't complete an unsubscribe in a test. They work in live sends as set up.
