How to upload subtitles in ZipLeads

Upload subtitles to your video lessons using standard .srt files. This quickly turns on captions in different languages.

To upload subtitles to your course videos:

  1. Go to Sites > Courses and open the course you want to edit.

  2. Click a Lesson that contains a video.

  3. Find the Upload Subtitles option next to the video player.

  4. Click Upload Subtitle and choose a .srt file from your device.

  5. Select the right language from the dropdown list.

  6. Click Save to attach the subtitle file to the video.

Using the Advanced Subtitle Editor

The advanced editor helps you edit and improve your subtitles. It includes real-time error detection and lets you jump around the video using timestamps.

After you upload a subtitle file, you can use the built-in editor to tidy it up:

  • Click the Edit Subtitles button next to the uploaded file.

  • Your subtitles appear in a list, with timestamps and text.

  • Click a timestamp to jump to that moment in the video.

  • If there are problems (for example, overlapping lines or gaps), warning icons appear.

  • Hover over a warning icon to see what the problem is.

  • Click into the text to make corrections, then select Save Changes.

Raw Mode editing

Raw Mode lets you edit subtitles by hand. It gives you full control over text and timing when you need to be precise.

Raw Mode is handy when you want direct access to the subtitle file's structure:

  • In the Subtitle Editor, click the Switch to Raw Mode button.

  • Edit the file using standard .srt formatting (timestamps followed by subtitle text).

  • Check the formatting carefully to avoid errors.

  • When you're done, click Save to update the video with your changes.
