This guide shows you how to move your FirstPromoter programs into ZipLeads Affiliate Manager using the guided import. You'll bring over campaigns, affiliates and past commissions without any CSVs.

How to set up the FirstPromoter import
Follow these steps to run the importer from start to finish with the fewest errors.
Open the import wizard
Go to Marketing → Affiliate Manager → Campaigns → Import.
Connect FirstPromoter
Paste your Account ID and API Key, then click Connect & Fetch.
To find your credentials, log in to FirstPromoter and go to Settings → API & Webhooks. Copy your Account ID and generate an API Key with read permissions for affiliates and campaigns.
Select campaigns
Tick the campaigns you want to move across. Check the key details (status, commission type, affiliate count and cookie life) so you don't import the wrong ones.
Use search and the checkboxes to select campaigns.
Review columns such as Status, Affiliate, Commissions and Cookie life.
Note: If FirstPromoter shows payments processed via Stripe, that reflects your original FirstPromoter setup.
Set preferences
Turn on Pending Commissions if you need it, and confirm your Payout Terms. This lets you control what gets imported and when payouts are due, so your finance process stays the same after the move.
Pending Commissions (toggle): Include unpaid commissions from FirstPromoter if you want them tracked straight away in ZipLeads.
Current Payout Terms (dropdown, e.g. Net-30 (30 days after month ends)): Sets when imported commissions become due inside Affiliate Manager.
Review affiliates
On Affiliate Management, resolve any Conflicts by choosing Merge or Skip. New affiliates are created as contacts automatically. If an email already exists, you resolve the conflict so each person keeps a single, clean contact record.
Tabs show Total, New and Conflicts.
For conflicts, compare Affiliate Name, Status, Email and Join Date.
Actions usually include Merge (keep the existing contact and attach the affiliate data) or Skip (don't import this affiliate for now).
Start the import
Click Start Import. You can keep the page open or move away from it, as processing carries on either way. Once the import starts, you'll see a short summary of what was queued and what to do next to start tracking.
Summary cards show the Campaigns, Total Affiliates and Historical Referrals queued for import.
You can safely leave the page. ZipLeads will let you know when the import is complete.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I still need CSV exports from FirstPromoter?
No. The wizard replaces manual CSV transfers for supported data.
Q: What happens to commission statuses during import?
Each commission keeps its original status (e.g. Pending or Approved). Payout timing follows the Payout Terms you set in Preferences.
Q: Can I include unpaid earnings?
Yes. Turn on Pending Commissions to bring over unpaid items, so they appear in Affiliate Manager's payout workflow.
Q: Will the importer create duplicate contacts?
No. Duplicate emails are flagged for review. Use Merge to keep a single contact record with the affiliate data attached, or Skip to leave that entry out.
Q: Can I run the import more than once?
Yes. You can run the wizard again to import more campaigns or affiliates. Items you've already imported won't be duplicated.
Q: Are product-based commissions supported?
Not during the import itself. After the import, set up product-based commission rules directly in Affiliate Manager.
Q: Where do I add the tracking scripts after import?
Open the imported campaign and use the ⋯ menu in the campaign list to find the tracking scripts. Add them before you activate the campaign.
