Monitor Campaign, Workflow and Bulk Action email performance from one Email Statistics dashboard in ZipLeads.
What you'll learn
The All-in-One Dashboard for Email Marketing in ZipLeads brings performance data from Campaigns, Workflows and Bulk Actions into one Email Statistics view. You can compare engagement, filter reports by email source, review your top-performing emails and export statistics. There's no need to collect data from different areas.
The dashboard also makes it easy to move from a quick engagement summary to detailed performance trends. This article explains how to open the dashboard, read its reporting areas, use filters and sample data, understand Workflow reporting, export statistics and troubleshoot common reporting questions.
Email Statistics dashboard vs. Email Widgets
The All-in-One Email Marketing Dashboard is the Email Statistics page under Marketing → Emails → Statistics. It's separate from the Email Widgets you can add to your account's Dashboard or a Custom Report.
What is the All-in-One Dashboard for Email Marketing?
The All-in-One Dashboard for Email Marketing is a central reporting page in ZipLeads. It brings together email statistics from Campaigns, Workflows and Bulk Actions. Instead of checking each sending method separately, you can use one Email Statistics dashboard to review overall performance and compare engagement across email sources.
You'll find the dashboard under Marketing → Emails → Statistics. It includes Engagement Summary reporting, Performance Analysis, email-source filtering, Top Performing Emails, date controls and other reporting tools.
Key benefits of the All-in-One Dashboard
One reporting view makes it easier to compare email performance and spot trends. You don't have to switch between separate Campaign, Workflow and Bulk Action reports, so your team can find the emails that perform best more quickly.
Unified Email Reporting: Review Campaign, Workflow and Bulk Action email statistics in one place.
Source-Level Filtering: Narrow the dashboard to one email source when you need a more focused view.
Performance Visibility: Monitor delivery and engagement trends through summary and performance reports.
Top-Performer Insights: Find the emails getting the most opens or clicks.
Workflow Granularity: Review each Workflow email action on its own, rather than treating a whole Workflow as one email.
Sample Reporting: Preview the dashboard with sample data when the option is available.
CSV Exporting: Export Email Statistics data to analyse, report on or share elsewhere.
What data is included in the dashboard?
Email Statistics combines the supported email-sending sources into one report. It helps to understand how each source is shown, especially when you compare automated Workflow emails with one-off Campaign or Bulk Action sends.
Dashboard Filter | What It Represents |
All Campaigns | Combined reporting across all supported email sources in Email Statistics. |
Email Campaigns | Email marketing Campaign sends. |
Workflow Campaigns | Emails sent through Workflow email actions. |
Bulk Action Campaigns | Emails sent through Contacts → Bulk Actions. |
The All-in-One Dashboard only covers email activity. SMS and other messaging channels aren't part of the Email Statistics view.
Understanding dashboard metrics and performance areas
The dashboard is organised into summary and performance areas. You can start with an overall view of your email activity and then dig into detailed engagement trends. Looking at both areas together helps you tell the difference between overall delivery performance and changes in how recipients engage over time.
Engagement Summary
Engagement Summary gives you a combined visual view of how recipients interact with your emails in the selected reporting scope. When more than one source is included, the chart can show how Email Campaigns, Workflow Campaigns and Bulk Action Campaigns each contribute to the overall results.
Performance Analysis
Performance Analysis helps you track email trends over time using delivery and engagement metrics. Use the controls to review metrics across the selected reporting period and compare performance across the email sources in the current view.
Data timing: Most email statistics update in near real time. Some engagement events can take a few minutes to appear, depending on recipient activity and provider delays.
For definitions of each email metric, see Email Statistics.
Filtering email statistics by source
Source filtering lets you focus on just the email activity you want to look at. This is handy when the combined view is too broad and you want to analyse Email Campaigns, Workflow Campaigns or Bulk Action Campaigns on their own.
Go to Marketing → Emails → Statistics.
Open the source dropdown near the top-left of the dashboard.
Select All Campaigns to see the combined view.
Select Email Campaigns, Workflow Campaigns or Bulk Action Campaigns to narrow the dashboard to that source.
Using sample data
Sample data lets you preview the Email Statistics dashboard before you've sent enough emails to fill it. When the option is available, it shows demonstration values so you can get to know the layout. These values aren't real performance data.
If Try Sample Data appears on your dashboard, click it to preview the reports.
Know when sample data is active
When sample statistics are active, the dashboard shows a notice saying the values are sample data. Click Clear Sample Data when you want to remove them.
Screenshot: Email Statistics with sample data active, showing the sample-data notice and the Clear Sample Data control.
Important: Sample statistics are demonstration data only. Don't treat them as real Campaign, Workflow or Bulk Action performance.
Understanding Top Performing Emails
Top Performing Emails helps you find the email content that gets the most engagement. You can rank results by engagement metrics such as open or click rates. How each item is shown depends on whether the email came from a Campaign, a Bulk Action or a Workflow.
Important Workflow reporting detail
For Workflows, Top Performing Emails reports on each individual email action, not the whole Workflow sequence as one email.
Source | Top Performing Emails Represents |
Email Campaigns | The individual Campaign email send. |
Bulk Action Campaigns | The individual Bulk Action email send. |
Workflow Campaigns | Each individual email action inside the Workflow. |
How to set up the All-in-One Dashboard for Email Marketing
There's nothing extra to configure once Email Statistics is available in your account. You just need to open the right reporting area, choose the right source and date range, and read the summary and performance areas with how the email was sent in mind.
Go to Marketing → Emails → Statistics.
Use All Campaigns when you want a combined view across all supported email sources.
Use the source dropdown to focus on Email Campaigns, Workflow Campaigns or Bulk Action Campaigns when needed.
Select the date range that matches the email activity you want to analyse.
Review Engagement Summary for an overview.
Scroll to Performance Analysis to review trends and performance metrics.
Continue to Top Performing Emails to find your best-performing individual sends or Workflow email actions.
Bulk Action shortcut: If you start in Contacts → Bulk Actions, open the statistics for the send you want and click Load More Stats to go to the full Email Statistics dashboard.
Exporting email statistics
CSV export lets you analyse Email Statistics outside ZipLeads or share performance data with others. You can export all your email activity or focus on one source, such as Email Marketing Campaigns, Workflows or Bulk Actions.
Go to Marketing → Emails → Statistics.
Choose the reporting type you want to export.
Click Export.
Enter the email address or addresses that should receive the export.
Open the email with the download link and download the CSV file.
Export Type | Reporting Scope |
All Campaigns | All supported email activity in Email Statistics, including Campaigns, Workflows and Bulk Actions. |
Email Marketing Campaigns Only | Email Campaign performance from Marketing → Emails → Campaigns. |
Workflows Only | Performance of individual Workflow email actions. |
Bulk Actions Only | Emails sent through Contacts → Bulk Actions. |
Export download links are sent by email and are only available for a limited time. You can also review recent exports in the Email Campaigns settings area.
For full instructions and details on how long exports are kept, see Exporting Email Marketing Data.
Troubleshooting Email Marketing Dashboard reporting
If the dashboard data doesn't look right, check how the email was sent, which source and date range are selected, and whether the event might still be processing. Your email sending provider can also affect which delivery and engagement events show up in reports.
Issue | What to Check |
Expected email activity is missing | Check how the email was sent and make sure the right source and date range are selected. |
A Workflow appears as several emails | This is expected in Top Performing Emails, because each Workflow email action is tracked separately. |
Recent engagement isn't showing yet | Allow a few minutes for engagement events to appear. |
A Bulk Action email is hard to find | Look under Bulk Action Campaigns in the source filter, or open the Bulk Action's statistics and click Load More Stats. |
Some statistics are missing | Check your email provider and review the troubleshooting guidance, because the events available to ZipLeads can vary by provider. |
The dashboard shows demonstration values | Look for a sample-data notice and clear the sample data before treating the dashboard as live email performance. |
For more detailed steps, see Troubleshooting Email Statistics.
