Keep your branding consistent by managing your logos, colours, fonts and typography styles in one place. ZipLeads Brand Boards let you organise these elements in a Design Kit. This makes it easier to keep your brand's look consistent. You can also customise predefined Typography Styles to set consistent formatting for titles, headings, body text and more. This guide explains how to edit your Design Kit, customise typography settings and save your changes.

What is a Design Kit?

A Design Kit is a collection of branding elements stored in a Brand Board in ZipLeads. It includes your logos, brand colours, fonts and predefined typography styles. This helps you manage your brand's appearance from one place.

Your saved brand colours and fonts are available in supported ZipLeads builders. This makes it easier to create content that follows your brand guidelines.

The Typography Styles feature also lets you set specific formatting for different types of text, including font, weight, size and line height.

Note: Updating your Design Kit does not automatically change the look of existing pages or emails. Predefined Typography Styles can be set up in Brand Boards, but choosing these styles directly in builders is planned for a future update.

Understanding Typography Styles

Typography Styles help you set a consistent text hierarchy by defining how different types of text should look. Each predefined style has its own font, weight, size and line-height settings, so you can customise your brand's typography to suit your design preferences.

Your Design Kit includes eight predefined Typography Styles:

Typography Style

Intended Use

Title

Main titles and prominent text

Subtitle

Supporting text beneath titles

Heading 1

Primary headings

Heading 2

Secondary headings

Section header

Headings that introduce content sections

Quote

Quotations or highlighted statements

Body

Paragraphs and general text

Caption

Short descriptions and supporting information

Each style comes with default settings that you can customise separately.

The formatting options are:

  • Font: Choose the font family used for the style.

  • Weight: Control how bold or light the text looks.

  • Size: Adjust the size of the text.

  • Line Height: Set the spacing between lines of text.

Note: These predefined styles help set your brand's typography in the Design Kit. Setting up a style does not automatically apply it to existing content.

How to Edit Your Design Kit

Step 1: Open Your Brand Board

  1. From your ZipLeads account, go to Marketing > Brand Boards.

  2. Find the Brand Board you want to update.

Step 2: Update Your Logos

The Logos tab lets you replace existing brand images so your Design Kit has your current logos.

  1. In the Design Kit, select the Logos tab.

  2. Find the logo you want to update.

  3. Click the Edit (pencil) icon next to Logo 1 or Logo 2.

  4. Select or upload the replacement logo.

Note: Replacing a logo in your Design Kit does not delete the original file from your Media Library. To permanently remove an old logo file, delete it directly from the Media Library.

Step 3: Manage Your Brand Colours

The Colors tab lets you look after your saved brand colour palette. You can add, replace, rename or remove colours to keep your Design Kit in line with your current branding.

  1. Select the Colors tab in the Design Kit.

  2. Choose what you want to do:

    • Add a colour: Click + Add to create another brand colour.

    • Change a colour: Click the colour square beside an existing colour and select a replacement.

    • Rename a colour: Click the colour name field and enter a new name.

    • Remove a colour: Click the trash icon beside the colour you want to delete.

Note: Updating standard Brand Board colours does not automatically change colours already used on existing pages or emails. Global Custom Colors sync differently.

Step 4: Add or Change Your Fonts

The Typography tab lets you manage the font families linked to your Brand Board. Saving your preferred fonts makes them easier to find when creating content in supported builders.

  1. Select the Typography tab in the Design Kit.

  2. Manage your fonts using these options:

    • Add a font: Click + Add and select a font.

    • Change a font: Use the font dropdown to select a different font.

    • Remove a font: Click the trash icon next to the font you want to delete.

You can store up to five fonts in your Design Kit, and at least one font must remain.

Step 5: Customise Typography Styles

The Styles area in the Typography tab lets you customise how different text types look. Each style can be edited on its own, so you can create a consistent hierarchy without using the same formatting for every type of text.

  1. In the Typography tab, find the Styles area.

  2. Review the eight predefined Typography Styles.

  3. Find the style you want to customise.

  4. Click the Edit icon next to that style.

  5. Adjust the formatting settings:

    • Font: Select your preferred font.

    • Weight: Choose the font weight.

    • Size: Set the text size.

    • Line Height: Adjust the spacing between lines.

  6. Repeat these steps for any other styles you want to customise.

Important: Predefined Typography Styles can be set up in Brand Boards. Choosing and applying these styles directly in builders is planned for a future update.

Step 6: Save Your Changes

Saving your Brand Board keeps the changes you make to its logos, colours, fonts and typography styles.

  1. Review your updated Design Kit settings.

  2. Click Save Board in the top-right corner.

Your updated branding settings are now saved in your Brand Board.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do changes to my Design Kit automatically update existing pages or emails?

No. Updating your Design Kit does not automatically change existing pages or emails. You can use the updated brand assets when you next edit them in supported builders.

Q: Can I customise each Typography Style separately?

Yes. Each of the eight predefined styles has its own font, weight, size and line-height settings, so you can customise different text types on their own.

Q: Can I apply my predefined Typography Styles directly in the Email, Funnel or Website Builder?

Choosing the eight predefined Typography Styles directly in builders is planned for a future update. Saved Brand Board fonts and colours are available in supported builders, but this is separate from applying predefined Typography Styles.

Q: Why aren't my Brand Board colours showing in a supported builder?

Only the default Brand Board fills the brand colour pickers. Make sure the correct Brand Board is set as default and that your changes have been saved. For instructions, see How to Change Default Brand Boards.

Q: Can I use more than five fonts in my Design Kit?

No. A Design Kit supports up to five saved fonts, and at least one font is required.

Q: Will replacing a logo in my Design Kit remove the original image from the Media Library?

No. Replacing a logo in your Design Kit does not remove the original file from the Media Library. You need to delete the file separately if you no longer need it.

Q: Will updating my Brand Board affect my Payment Links?

If your Payment Links use Brand Board theming, changes to the relevant brand colours can show in those links.
