Social Intelligence helps you find social conversations, monitor brand mentions, analyse audience sentiment and track emerging trends, all from one workspace in ZipLeads. This article explains how to search and save topics, explore social insights, set up alerts and discover trending content.

What is Social Intelligence?

Social Intelligence is a social discovery and monitoring feature in ZipLeads' Social Planner. You can search for brands, keywords and hashtags, track conversations across supported platforms, and analyse sentiment, engagement and audience trends.

You can save topics to keep monitoring them, and set up email alerts for when important metrics change. This helps you spot relevant conversations and new opportunities.

How to Set Up and Use Social Intelligence

Social Intelligence lets you find relevant conversations, save topics to monitor, and explore insights about audience sentiment and social trends. Follow the steps below to open the feature and start monitoring topics that matter to your business.

Access Social Intelligence

Social Intelligence is available directly in Social Planner for accounts with access to the Limited Beta.

  1. Go to Marketing → Social Planner.

  2. Click the Social Intelligence tab in the top navigation.

  3. The workspace opens with two options:

    • Explore: Search for keywords, brands or hashtags and manage saved topics.

    • Social Trends: Discover trending content and search activity from supported sources.

Search and Save Topics

The Explore tab helps you find conversations about a specific brand, industry or keyword. Saving a search as a topic lets you keep monitoring it and gives you detailed analytics.

  1. Open Social Intelligence → Explore.

  2. Enter a brand name, keyword, or hashtag in the search bar. You can also pick from five personalised keyword suggestions based on your business information.

  3. Click Search to explore relevant conversations and available insights.

  4. Review the results, including conversation volume, sentiment and platform activity.

  5. Click Save as topic to add the search to your monitored topics.

  6. Find saved topics under Your topics, where you can reopen them for analysis.

Analyse Social Intelligence Insights

Saved topics give you detailed analytics, so you can see what people are talking about, how they feel, and which platforms have the most activity.

Note:

  • Historical insights initially support up to 500 posts, with up to 10 new posts per refresh.

  • Platform coverage includes supported Infegy sources and Facebook Pages, depending on data availability. Available metrics may differ by source.

  1. Go to Social Intelligence → Explore.

  2. Select a topic from Your topics.

  3. Use the date filter to review insights for the last 7, 15, or 30 days.

  4. Explore the available analytics:

    • Overview: See total mentions, positive, neutral and negative sentiment, and overall sentiment trends.

    • Sentiment: Analyse sentiment distribution and how it changes over time.

    • Mentions: Track mention volume, activity patterns and trends.

    • Platforms: Compare platform activity, share of voice and sentiment across sources.

    • Emotion: Explore emotional responses and commonly mentioned keywords.

    • Engagement: Review likes, shares, comments, views and engagement trends.

    • Conversations: Explore trending topics, hashtags and relevant social posts.

    • Audience: Review available language, demographic and location insights.

Explore Social Trends

The Social Trends tab shows trending searches, keywords and content from external sources. Use it to spot popular topics and emerging interests.

  1. Go to Social Planner → Social Intelligence.

  2. Select Social Trends.

  3. Explore the available trend sources, including:

    • Google Trends: Discover popular searches and search volumes.

    • Pinterest Keywords: Explore trending keywords and pin activity.

    • Wikipedia Pageviews: Find topics getting more pageviews.

    • YouTube: Explore popular keywords, channels and trending videos where available.

  4. Use the date filter to view trends for a selected period.

  5. Review the trend cards to find topics that suit your content strategy.

How to Create and Manage Alerts

Alerts let you keep an eye on changes in important social metrics without checking topic analytics over and over. You choose which metrics to track, how sensitive the alerts are, and when email notifications are sent.

Note: You can set up to 3 alerts per topic.

  1. Open a saved topic in Social Intelligence.

  2. Click the Alert (bell) icon.

  3. Create an alert and set up the following:

    • Alert name: Enter a name to identify the alert.

    • What to watch: Select the metrics to monitor, such as mentions, sentiment, impressions, engagement or share of voice.

    • How sensitive?: Move the sensitivity slider to set how big a metric change needs to be before an alert is sent.

    • How often?: Choose Daily or Weekly email notifications.

    • Send to: Select the email recipients.

  4. Check the Email Preview to see how the notification will look.

  5. Save the alert. You can manage several alerts for a saved topic and pause or resume them when needed.
