Email AI in Ask AI combines ZipLeads' conversational assistant with Email AI's template-building tools. Instead of going to Email Builder before creating a template, you start with a plain-English request in Ask AI and Email AI generates the Design Editor template for you. You can review the result, ask for more changes and move into Email Builder when you're ready for more detailed editing.

Create new Design Editor email templates from plain-English prompts.
Update existing supported email templates through conversation.
Ask follow-up questions when it needs more information or a choice from you.
Show a preview of the generated email directly in Ask AI.

How Email AI works inside Ask AI
Ask AI is where the conversation starts, and Email AI handles building the email template. This lets you describe your goal in everyday language and keep working on the template without opening the full email editor first.
Enter a request for an email template in Ask AI.
Email AI starts generating the Design Editor template.
If it needs more information, Email AI pauses and asks you to make a choice or add more details.
Email AI finishes the template and shows a preview.
Keep asking for changes in Ask AI, or select Open in Email Builder for more editing.
Follow-up questions during template generation
Email AI may need more information before it can finish a template. These questions help it use your available assets or make design choices that better match your request, rather than guessing about optional elements.
Depending on the template and the assets in your account, Email AI may offer choices such as:
Applying a saved Brand Board.
Using an existing countdown timer.
Creating a new countdown timer.
Skipping an optional element.
Giving a different answer using the custom input field.
Select the option that matches your goal and submit your answer. Email AI then carries on generating the template.
Previewing and editing the generated template
Previewing the email in Ask AI lets you check the overall design and content before opening the full Email Builder. It's a handy way to confirm the template matches your original request and decide whether you need another round of changes.
After Email AI finishes generating the template:
Review the email in the preview panel.
Keep using Ask AI to request supported changes in plain English.
Repeat the review and revision steps as needed.
Select Open in Email Builder when you want to keep editing with Email Builder tools.
Supported changes are kept in sync across Email AI and Email Builder, so you don't need to make the same edits twice.
Design Editor template support
This feature is built specifically for Design Editor templates. Knowing which template type is supported helps you start in the right editor and avoid expecting features that aren't in Ask AI yet.
Email AI in Ask AI supports Design Editor templates.
HTML Editor templates are not currently supported in this workflow.
HTML Editor template support is planned for a future release.

No. This workflow is for creating and editing email templates. If you want to build and manage a full campaign, use the email campaign workflow once your template is ready.
What should I do if Email AI stops and says it needs an answer?
Read the question shown in Ask AI and select or enter the option that best matches the template you want. Email AI will carry on once you submit your answer.
Can I keep refining the email before opening Email Builder?
Yes. You can keep using plain-English requests in Ask AI to make supported template updates before moving into Email Builder.
Do I have to use every suggested asset, such as a Brand Board or countdown timer?
No. When Email AI offers optional choices, the prompt may include an option to skip the item or give a different answer.
When should I use Open in Email Builder?
Use Email Builder when you want more detailed manual control over the generated template after reviewing or refining it in Ask AI.
Can I use this workflow for HTML Editor templates?
Not yet. Ask AI currently supports Design Editor templates only. HTML Editor support is planned for a later release.
