What is the Media Storage and AskAI integration?
This integration brings media library management into the ZipLeads AI assistant. You can browse, organise and act on files, folders, Google Drive contents and Canva designs through a simple conversation.
You don't need to click through the media library. Just describe what you want to do, such as moving files, creating folders, checking storage usage or exporting Canva designs. AskAI guides you through it and asks for your approval before it changes anything.
This is the first phase of AI features for Media Storage. It makes existing features available as AskAI skills and lays the groundwork for richer media workflows.

Browse and organise files
List and filter files and folders in your media library. Create new folders, rename files and folders, and update their details. Move files and folders into other folders. Find a specific file by its media URL or ID and see its folder path.
Import files from external URLs
Import a file into your media library from an external URL. AskAI checks the URL on the server before importing the file.
Trash and restore
Move a single file or folder to trash, or move several files and folders to trash in one request. Restore items you've trashed. All deletion can be undone. Permanent deletion isn't available through AskAI.
Understand storage usage
Ask how much media storage your account is using in total, or ask for usage broken down by group or category.
Browse stock assets
List the background and texture assets available in your account.
Note: Deleting always moves items to trash and needs your confirmation. Files are never permanently erased through AskAI.
Google Drive integration
When Google Drive is connected as a media storage source, AskAI can manage your Drive files and folders directly. AskAI finds the Drive connection for you, so you never need to look up connection IDs.

List files in your connected Google Drive, with optional folder, search or file-type filters. You can also list Drive folders on their own.
Create Drive folders

Note: You can't upload files from your computer to Google Drive, or download Drive files, through AskAI. You can import files from a URL into your media library instead.
Canva integration
When Canva is connected to your account, AskAI can list designs, create new designs, upload media to Canva and export designs in the available formats.

List your Canva designs and open a design's details and edit link. Review a design's pages and the formats you can export it in.

Safe by design: every action needs your approval. AskAI never makes irreversible changes to your media. Every change (create, rename, move, trash, restore, import and Canva actions) needs your confirmation before it runs.
User control and safeguards
AskAI is built to help you without taking irreversible action on your media. Several safeguards keep you in control at every step.
Approval-based changes: Every change (create, rename, move, trash, restore, import, and Canva create, upload and export) is shown to you for approval before it runs.
Read-only listing: Actions that only read data (listing files, checking usage, reviewing designs, browsing Drive) run straight away and change nothing.
Trash-only deletion: Deletion can always be undone. Permanent deletion isn't possible through AskAI.
Connection checks: Canva and Google Drive actions need the integration to be connected to your account. If it isn't, AskAI asks you to connect it rather than guessing.
No made-up IDs: AskAI never invents a file, folder, design or connection ID. It looks the value up first or asks you for it.
Server-side URL checks: External URLs are checked on the server before anything is imported.
Limited to your account: Every action only applies to your account. Your existing Media Storage permissions and access rules still apply.
How to use AskAI for media storage
All you need to do is describe your task. AskAI will ask for any extra details and show you the proposed action to approve.
Open AskAI. Go to AskAI in your ZipLeads account.
Describe your media task. Type or say what you want to do in plain language. For example, "Show me the files in my media library" or "Create a folder called Q3 Creatives."
Provide any extra details. If AskAI needs more information, such as which folder to move files to or the URL of a file to import, it will ask you.
Review the proposed action. AskAI shows you what it plans to do. Check the details carefully.
Approve the action. When prompted, approve the action. AskAI will carry it out and confirm when it's done.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to give AskAI file IDs or connection IDs?
No. AskAI finds connection details for you and looks up file, folder and design IDs based on what you describe. You never need to enter technical IDs yourself.
Can I permanently delete files through AskAI?
No. All deletion through AskAI moves items to trash, so you can always get them back. Permanent deletion isn't available through AskAI, to prevent data being lost for good.
What happens if I ask AskAI to work with Google Drive or Canva but I haven't connected them?
AskAI will tell you the integration isn't connected and ask you to connect it. It won't guess or carry on without a valid connection.
Can I upload files from my computer to Google Drive through AskAI?
No. Uploading files from your computer to Google Drive, and downloading Drive files, aren't supported through AskAI in this release. You can import files from a URL into your media library and Canva instead.
Do I need to approve every action AskAI performs?
You need to approve every change: create, rename, move, trash, restore, import and Canva actions. Read-only actions, such as listing files, checking usage or reviewing designs, run straight away without approval because they don't change anything.
What storage usage does AskAI show?
AskAI shows storage usage for your account.
Can AskAI move files between my media library and Google Drive?
Not directly. AskAI can list and create folders in Google Drive and import files from external URLs into your media library. Moving files between the two isn't supported in this release.
Does this integration change my existing Media Storage permissions?
No. Everything you do through AskAI only applies to your account and follows your existing Media Storage permissions and access rules.
