What causes the Google Calendar connection to break?
When your Google Calendar stops syncing, it's usually because of one of these:
You changed your Google account password.
Permissions for ZipLeads were revoked in your Google settings.
Google detected suspicious activity and blocked access automatically.
The OAuth tokens (used for secure connections) expired or were invalidated.
When this happens, calendar syncing stops. You may not see new appointments show up in Google Calendar.
How to fix a broken Google Calendar connection
When your Google Calendar disconnects or fails to sync, it's usually because Google has revoked access to ZipLeads. This can happen after a password change, revoked permissions or a security trigger in your Google account.
Follow these steps to reconnect your Google Calendar in ZipLeads:
Step 1: Delete Google Calendar
Go to Settings in your account.
Select the My Profile option and go to Calendar Settings.
Click the Bin/Delete icon next to the connected Google account.
Tick the acknowledgement box in the pop-up and click Confirm.
Step 2: Reconnect Google Calendar
Click Settings in your account and select the My Profile option.
Under Calendar Settings, click the + Add New button.
Step 3: Test and confirm
Once you've reconnected, test your Google Calendar to make sure it's syncing properly. If you're still having trouble after testing, please contact the ZipLeads support team for help.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I know if my Google Calendar connection is broken?
New appointments won't appear in your Google Calendar, or you'll see a “disconnected” message in your integration settings.
Q: Do I need to reconnect after changing my Google password?
Yes. Changing your password revokes third-party access, including ZipLeads. You'll need to reauthorise access manually.
Q: Will I lose existing appointments if the calendar disconnects?
No. Your existing appointments in ZipLeads stay as they are. Syncing starts again once you reconnect.
Q: Can I use multiple Google calendars with ZipLeads?
You can choose one primary Google calendar to sync per user. Use the calendar configuration screen to switch calendars if you need to.
