Ask AI templates are organised into categories that match your day-to-day work in ZipLeads. Each category has templates for specific tasks, and many are split further into sub-areas so they're easier to find.

Ask AI templates respect your user role permissions. You only see templates you're allowed to run. If your role doesn't have access to a feature (Contacts, Calendars, Invoices and so on), the related templates stay hidden.

This keeps your template list clean, secure and relevant. Admins and users with wider permissions will see more templates. Users with restricted access only see the workflows they can run.

Important: Templates are secured by your user permissions (scopes). If you don't have access to a feature, like Contacts, Calendars or Invoices, you won't see the related templates. Only users with the right permissions can view and run them.

Example: If a user role has read-only Calendars access (or no Calendars access at all), that user won't see calendar booking templates. If the role is given write access, the calendar templates will appear automatically.

Ask AI templates are designed to be easy to use. Follow these steps to start a guided workflow.

Click the Ask AI icon in your ZipLeads account. The Templates view appears by default.

Use the category tabs (All, Communication, CRM, Commerce & Payments, AI Agents, Integrations, Social Media, Sales, Marketing) to browse workflows. Or type a keyword in the search box to filter by name or description.

Click the template card that matches your task. Ask AI opens a guided conversation to collect the information it needs for that workflow.

Answer Ask AI's questions and make your selections when asked. The assistant guides you through every required field, choice and setting for the task.

Review the summary Ask AI gives you, then confirm. The assistant runs the workflow (creating the item, connecting the integration or launching the campaign) and lets you know when it's done.

Success: Once the template finishes, you can check the results in the relevant area of ZipLeads (Campaigns, Calendars, Opportunities and so on), or start a new template workflow from the Templates screen.

Templates are filtered by your user permissions. If your role doesn't have access to a feature, like Contacts, Calendars or Invoices, the related templates are hidden. Contact your account admin if you need more permissions.

Templates are pre-designed workflows that guide you through a specific task. You can't edit the template itself, but you provide all the custom details (contact names, calendar settings, message text and so on) during the guided conversation. The assistant uses your answers to create the final result exactly as you specify.

Absolutely. Templates are great for onboarding because they walk new users through each step of a workflow, without them needing to memorise where everything is in ZipLeads. New team members can start completing tasks (launching campaigns, booking appointments, creating pipelines) on day one by following the guided prompts.

You can leave a template conversation at any time. Any changes you confirmed before leaving are saved. For example, if you completed step 1 of a multi-step template, that step's result is saved. You can start a new template or go back to the main Ask AI screen whenever you're ready.

Ask AI templates are included with accounts that have access to Ask AI. Check your plan details or contact the ZipLeads support team to confirm whether they're available for your account.
