Apple Pay and Google Pay give eligible customers a faster way to pay, without typing in their card details at checkout. ZipLeads supports these digital wallets on eligible One-Step and Two-Step Order Forms when Stripe is your payment provider. You can manage wallet settings directly from your account. This guide explains how to set up Apple Pay and Google Pay, when they show at checkout, and how to fix wallets that don't appear.

What you'll learn: How to manage Apple Pay and Google Pay from the Stripe integration, set up the right Order Form and payment environment, understand Apple Pay domain verification, and troubleshoot wallets that don't appear at checkout.

Important: Turning on a wallet doesn't guarantee every customer will see it. Whether a wallet shows can depend on the product area, Test or Live settings, Stripe account eligibility, the customer's location, browser or device, their wallet setup, and extra requirements such as Apple Pay domain verification.

What are Apple Pay and Google Pay in ZipLeads Order Forms?

Apple Pay and Google Pay are digital wallet payment methods your customers can use when checking out on eligible ZipLeads Order Forms. They're provided through Stripe and can appear alongside your other payment methods when the customer and checkout meet the requirements.

ZipLeads supports Apple Pay and Google Pay for eligible Funnels - One-Step Order Form and Funnels - Two-Step Order Form checkouts.

Key benefits of Apple Pay and Google Pay

Digital wallets mean customers type in less at checkout. You also get one central place to control where supported Stripe payment methods are available.

  • Faster Checkout: Eligible customers can use a saved wallet instead of typing in card details.

  • Centralised Management: Manage supported Stripe payment methods directly from your account.

  • Order Form Support: Choose where wallets are available on eligible One-Step and Two-Step Order Forms.

  • Separate Environment Controls: Set up payment methods separately for Test and Live environments.

  • Subscription Controls: Review subscription-specific payment method settings when the checkout includes recurring products.

Before you start

Apple Pay and Google Pay only appear when both your payment settings and the customer's checkout meet the requirements. Checking these first can save you time troubleshooting your Order Form.

  • Stripe must be connected to your account.

  • The wallet must be turned on for the right Order Form product area.

  • Make sure you're setting up the correct Test or Live environment.

  • The customer's country, device, browser and payment account must support the wallet.

  • The customer must have an eligible payment method saved in their wallet.

  • Apple Pay needs domain verification to be completed before it can appear at checkout.

  • Subscription checkouts can have their own payment method settings under Subscriptions.

  • The Subscriptions settings become available once a subscription product has been added in Live Mode in your account.

Payment provider scope: Apple Pay and Google Pay on Order Forms, as covered here, are provided through Stripe. Other payment providers have their own supported payment methods and product areas.

How to set up Apple Pay and Google Pay for Order Forms

You manage Stripe payment methods from the Payments area of your account. Set up the wallets for the right Order Form product area and payment environment before you test your checkout.

Step 1: Open the Stripe integration

Start from the Stripe integration to reach payment method and wallet settings for your connected account.

  1. In your account, select Payments.

  2. Select Integrations.

  3. Find Stripe.

  4. Click Manage.

Step 2: Open Manage Payment Methods

The Stripe management page gives you access to payment method settings and the domain registration setting used for Apple Pay and Link.

  1. On the Manage Payment Integration page, check the Stripe connection status.

  2. Review Register domains for Apple Pay and Link.

  3. Click Manage Payment Methods.

Apple Pay requirement: Apple Pay needs domain verification to be completed. If Apple Pay is turned on but doesn't show at checkout, domain verification is one of the first things to check.

Step 3: Set up the Order Form payment methods

Payment methods are set up by product area. This lets you choose whether a wallet is available on a One-Step Order Form, a Two-Step Order Form, or another supported checkout.

  1. Review the available Stripe payment method settings.

  2. Find Funnels - One-Step Order Form or Funnels - Two-Step Order Form, depending on the checkout you use.

  3. Turn on Apple Pay where available.

  4. Turn on Google Pay where available.

  5. Save your changes.

Step 4: Check Test or Live mode

Test and Live payment method settings are separate. A wallet turned on in only one environment may not show when your checkout uses the other.

  1. Check whether you're setting up Test or Live.

  2. Make sure Apple Pay and Google Pay are turned on in the environment you plan to test or use.

  3. Save any changes before testing your Order Form again.

Step 5: Review subscription settings if needed

Subscription products can use separate payment method settings, so check recurring checkouts separately from your one-time Order Form settings.

  1. Open the Subscriptions payment method settings when they're available.

  2. Review the wallet options for subscription checkout.

  3. Turn on the wallets you want and save your changes.

Can't see Subscriptions? The Subscriptions settings become available once at least one subscription product has been added in Live Mode in your account.

How wallet availability works at checkout

Turning on a wallet makes it available to eligible checkouts. The payment options a customer actually sees are decided at checkout, based on several settings and eligibility factors.

Factor

Why it matters

Product Area

The wallet must be turned on for the type of checkout being used.

Test or Live Mode

The method must be turned on in the same environment as the checkout being tested or used.

Stripe Account Eligibility

Availability can depend on account activation, region and Stripe's eligibility requirements.

Customer Location

Some payment methods are only available in supported countries or regions.

Device and Browser

The customer's device and browser must support the wallet.

Wallet Setup

The customer needs an eligible wallet with a supported payment method saved.

Apple Pay Domain Verification

Apple Pay needs domain verification before it can appear on web checkouts.

If a wallet doesn't appear, check your payment settings and the customer's eligibility before treating it as an Order Form problem.

Troubleshoot Apple Pay and Google Pay

Whether a wallet shows depends on several layers of settings. Start with the Stripe integration and payment method settings, then check the checkout environment and customer eligibility.

Troubleshoot Apple Pay

Apple Pay needs an eligible Stripe setup, the right Order Form settings and completed domain verification before it can appear at checkout.

  1. Go to Payments → Integrations.

  2. Click Manage for Stripe.

  3. Open Manage Payment Methods.

  4. Check Apple Pay is turned on for the right One-Step or Two-Step Order Form.

  5. Check you're in the correct Test or Live environment.

  6. If the checkout includes a subscription product, review the Subscriptions payment method settings.

  7. Check your Stripe account is activated and eligible for the payment method.

  8. Check Apple Pay domain verification is complete.

  9. Test from an eligible device and browser with Apple Pay set up.

Troubleshoot Google Pay

Google Pay depends on your Stripe payment method settings and whether the customer's checkout environment can show the wallet.

  1. Go to Payments → Integrations.

  2. Click Manage for Stripe.

  3. Open Manage Payment Methods.

  4. Check Google Pay is turned on for the right One-Step or Two-Step Order Form.

  5. Check you're in the correct Test or Live environment.

  6. If the checkout includes a subscription product, review the Subscriptions payment method settings.

  7. Check your Stripe account and the payment method are eligible.

  8. Test from a supported device and browser with Google Pay set up.

Troubleshooting order: Check the product area, Test/Live mode, payment method status, Stripe eligibility and customer environment before changing the Order Form itself.
