Ask AI Memory helps personalise your future Ask AI conversations in ZipLeads. It saves context, preferences and instructions that you can reuse. Memories can include your role, your business, your preferred tone, your formatting style, or instructions you want Ask AI to remember. This means Ask AI can give more relevant answers without you repeating the same context every time.
What is Ask AI Memory?
Ask AI Memory is a personalisation feature. It stores useful context from your Ask AI conversations. Ask AI then uses these saved memories to tailor future answers to you, your work, and the way you like to use ZipLeads.
Memories are for context you can reuse. They are not a copy of every message in a conversation. Examples include your role, your preferred response style, business details, workflow preferences, or instructions you want Ask AI to consider in future conversations.
Key benefits of Ask AI Memory
Ask AI Memory makes future answers more useful because you don't have to keep setting things up or sharing the same context. Instead of explaining your preferences in every conversation, Ask AI can use saved context when it's relevant.
Personalised responses: Ask AI can use saved details to tailor answers to your business, role, location and preferences.
Less repeated context: You don't need to re-enter the same background information in every new session.
Smarter follow-up conversations: Your recent memories are included in AI requests, so future answers start with better context.
Automatic memory capture: Ask AI can save meaningful facts in the background without interrupting its main response.
Memory import support: You can import saved memory details from other AI providers, such as ChatGPT or Claude, when available.
User-level organisation: Memories belong to you as a user and can include optional company or account context.
Bring context from other tools: Import useful memories from supported AI providers when available.
When to use Ask AI Memory
Ask AI Memory works best for details that should shape your conversations again and again. Saving reusable context helps Ask AI respond in a way that suits your role, your business and your working style.
Use Ask AI Memory for:
Your role, team or department.
Business or account-specific details.
Your preferred tone, formatting or writing style.
Instructions you give Ask AI regularly.
Workflow preferences.
Ongoing project or operational context.
Personalising Ask AI responses across future conversations.
Importing useful context from another AI provider.
Ask AI Memory vs. other Ask AI context
Ask AI can use different types of context depending on what you're doing. Knowing the difference helps you understand what Memory does and what it doesn't replace.
Ask AI Memory: Saves reusable context that can shape future Ask AI conversations.
Chat history: Lets you return to previous Ask AI conversations without losing your place.
Smart Session Memory: Keeps editing context during a specific conversational editing workflow.
Feedback: Rates a specific Ask AI response. This is not the same as saving a memory.
Ask AI actions: Use the available tools or workflows to complete supported tasks. Memory can help personalise the context, but you should still review important outputs, changes and approvals.
How Ask AI saves memories
Ask AI Memory is designed to capture useful, reusable information rather than saving every message. This keeps your memories focused on facts that improve future conversations.
After you send a message, Ask AI can pick out one meaningful fact and save it as a memory. Examples include:
Your role or job function
Company or business details
Location details
Communication preferences
Repeated instructions or preferences
Relevant business context you've shared
Ask AI skips one-off requests, duplicate information, and details that won't help in future conversations.
How Ask AI uses saved memories
Saved memories let Ask AI respond with context, so you don't have to repeat details in every chat. Ask AI uses your memories naturally in its answer. It won't announce that it remembered something.
Ask AI includes your most recent saved memories in future AI requests. These memories help it personalise answers, suggest next steps, and adjust its responses based on what it knows about you or your business.
Examples:
If you've shared your company name and industry, Ask AI can use that when helping with marketing copy, strategy or business planning.
If you've shared a preferred tone or instruction, Ask AI can apply it in future answers when it's relevant.
Memory scope and source details
A memory's scope decides where it applies. This helps Ask AI use the right context for the right user, account or company.
Memories belong to your user profile. They may also include optional account or company context when it applies. Each memory is tagged with its source, so the system knows how it was created.
Memory sources include:
Auto-created memory
Explicitly saved memory
Imported memory
System-created memory
