This article shows you how to add click-to-call, click-to-text and click-to-email links and buttons to your ZipLeads funnels and websites. These clickable links help with conversions. They make it easy for leads to contact you with a single tap, especially on mobile devices.

What are click-to-call, click-to-text and click-to-email links and buttons?

These are clickable links that start a phone call, text message or email. They make it easy for visitors to act straight away. When set up correctly, clicking one of these links opens the visitor's phone dialler, SMS app or default email app with the details already filled in. They're often used in funnels and websites to improve the visitor experience and boost conversions.

Key benefits of using click-to actions

Click-to links make it simple for leads to reach out with a single tap.

  • One-tap communication: Visitors can call, text or email you instantly, without copying or typing anything.

  • Higher mobile engagement: Mobile visitors are more likely to use clickable actions.

  • Time-saving for leads: Details like the phone number, message body or email content are filled in automatically.

  • Trigger-ready automation: You can combine them with Trigger Links to run follow-up workflows.

  • Flexible CTA design: You can add click-to links to both text and button elements.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How can I track clicks on these links?
Use Trigger Links to track clicks and run automations based on them.

Q: What happens if the visitor's device doesn't support the click-to link?
If a device doesn't support the link type (for example, sms: on a desktop computer), nothing happens when it's clicked. We recommend testing your links on different devices and including your contact details as a backup.

Q: Can I add more than one action to a single link (like call and text)?
No. Each link can only do one thing: call, text or email. To offer several options, use a separate link or button for each action.

Q: Can I use click-to links on images or icons?
Yes. In the funnel or website builder, you can link images or icons using the same formats. This works well for visual CTAs like phone or message icons.
