Apple Pay and Google Pay work with one-time invoices, recurring invoices and Text2Pay links.

Whether your customers see Apple Pay and Google Pay depends on two things:

  • Their location and the web browser they're using.

  • Whether they have a payment method saved in their Google or Apple account.

Apple Pay or Google Pay only shows when both of these apply. It appears alongside the default credit card option.

Note: Supported browsers are Chrome Desktop, Chrome Android, macOS Safari, iOS Safari and Microsoft Edge for Windows.

How do I enable Apple Pay and Google Pay?

You need to connect Stripe using Stripe Connect on the Payments ➝ Integrations page. If you're connected to Stripe using Stripe APIs, switch to Stripe Connect to use this feature.

Once your Stripe account is connected in Payments > Integrations, turn on Apple Pay and Google Pay in your Stripe account. They'll then start appearing on your invoices and Text2Pay links automatically.

Apple Pay needs one extra step: the domain where payments are taken must be registered with Apple Pay. ZipLeads does this for you automatically as soon as your Stripe account is connected. This lets you offer Apple Pay on invoices and Text2Pay link payments.

Troubleshooting for Apple Pay

1. Check that the toggle to enable Apple Pay and Google Pay is turned on while Stripe is connected to your account.

3. Make sure the domain your invoice is hosted on is registered with Stripe. This is an extra requirement for Apple Pay. It should happen automatically as soon as the toggle is turned on.

a. Go to your Stripe dashboard at this URL and check whether the domain is listed in the Web Domains section.

b. If the domain isn't listed, you can add it manually by clicking Add New Domain. This is only a quick fix. If the domain doesn't register automatically when you turn on the toggle, please contact the ZipLeads support team.

4. If the domain is registered, make sure the domain association file is hosted for that domain. For example, if you're registering https://example.com, a file should download when you visit https://example.com/.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association.
