You can add a payment plan to an invoice so your customer pays it in instalments.

  • Split an invoice into payment plan instalments.

  • Split it by percentage or by a fixed amount.

  • Each instalment has its own due date and payment status. If an instalment isn't paid yet, a reminder goes out on its due date.

  • Your customer can only pay in the instalments you set, but they can pay one or more instalments at once. The invoice is marked as paid once every instalment is paid.

How to use it

  • In an invoice, click add payment schedule.

Why use payment plans?

For medium to large invoices, customers often want to pay in instalments. Partial payments already let the person paying decide how much to pay and when. Payment plans put you in control instead: you decide the size and timing of each instalment.
