This article will explain how you can connect your Facebook lead forms to ZipLeads. When you run an ad on Facebook, a lead will click the ‘Learn More’ button on the ad which will ask them to fill in their details and direct them to your book a call page in your funnel to book in a call with you at a time that suits them.

For this to work, your Facebook account must be connected in Settings > Integrations within your ZipLeads account. You must also have the correct ad account connected here.

To create your lead form in Facebook, follow the below steps:

  1. Open up Facebook Ads Manager

  2. Open the campaign containing the form you wish to connect and click through to the ad

  3. Scroll to the ‘Destination’ section. This is where you can update your Facebook lead form

  4. If you do not yet have your ad setup, you can click on the ‘Create Form’ button. If you already have your ad setup, hover over the existing form and click ‘Duplicate’

  5. Under ‘Form Name’, name your form

  6. Under ‘Form Type’, select ‘More Volume’

  7. Under ‘Intro’, select the background image you wish to use. You have the choice between using the image from your ad or uploading a new one. If you are using multiple different media options within this ad campaign, we would recommend uploading an image here so you can see the image preview and ensure it looks consistent for each ad

  8. Under ‘Greeting’, if you are working off a duplicate form, you can amend the text here if you like or leave as is. If you are creating a new form, you will need to add text here. In the ‘Headline’ section, keep this short and eye-catching. In the ‘Description’ section, we recommend including some key features and benefits for your program. You may also wish to include emojis which you can copy from any emoji website

  9. Under ‘Questions’, this is where you can customise the fields of your form. Normally when running a lead form ad, we recommend just using the Full Name, Phone Number and Email fields (as these fields do pre-populate based on the information in their Facebook profile) however you may wish to add an additional field in here. If you do this, just keep in mind it is an additional step the lead has to take to opt in.

If you wish to add in a question, you can do this by clicking the ‘+ Add Question’ button and selecting the category of your choosing. You can then enter in the details of this step

  10. Under ‘Privacy Policy’, if you don’t already have this link, you can find this in your ZipLeads account under Sites > Funnels. Click through to your Fitness Funnel and into the ‘Privacy’ tab. You can then copy this link and paste it into the field in your Facebook form

  11. Under ‘Message For Leads’ here is where you will see a general thank you message. This is what you will need to update in order to then direct leads to your book a call page to book themselves in for a call. We recommend using the text outlined in the below image for this step. It is also pasted at the top of this article for you to utilise. The ‘Call to action’ text should also be updated to ‘SEE CALL TIMES’. You can then enter in the link to your book a call page under the ‘link’ section.

You can find this link in your ZipLeads account under Sites > Funnels. Click through to your Fitness Funnel and into the ‘Book a Call’ tab. You can then copy this link and paste it into the field in your Facebook form

  12. Go back through and double check all of the information in your form as once you create this form, you will no longer be able to edit it. Once you are happy with this, click ‘Create Form’. You will now see your new form under the ‘Destination’ section of your ad

  13. If you have any additional ads in this ad set, you will need to go through all of those ads and select the new form you just created.

If you did create a custom question on your Facebook form, you will now need to create a custom field for that in ZipLeads, so when someone answers this question, it has somewhere to be placed within that contact. If you did not do this, you can skip through to mapping your form.

To create this custom field in ZipLeads, follow the below steps:

  1. Click through to Settings > Custom Fields

  2. Click ‘Add Field’

  3. Select your Text Input. Please note, you can only select ‘Single Line’ or ‘Multi Line’ here. Once you have selected your option, click next

  4. Under ‘Name’, enter in the question that you created

  5. Under ‘Group’ select the group you would like this field to belong in and click save.

Once you have created any custom fields required, you now need to map these fields from your new Facebook form within ZipLeads.

To map your Facebook form in ZipLeads, follow the below steps:

  1. Click through to Settings > Integrations

  2. Select the second tab ‘Facebok Form Fields Mapping’

  3. You will then see your new Facebook lead form you created at the top of this list. If you don’t see this here, it is likely because your Facebook page isn’t connected correctly within your Integrations settings or you have not selected the correct ad account within your Integrations settings. If this is the case you will need to go into Settings > Integrations and check this information. Another reason it may not show here is if you have not published your changes in your Facebook Ads Manager

  4. Click on the ‘Map Fields’ button to the right of the form

  5. The full name, phone and email ZipLeads fields will already match the form fields. You will however, need to map any additional fields if you added them. To do this, select the dropdown under the ‘ZipLeads Field’ column and find the custom field you just created

  6. Click save. You will now see your status is toggled on and you have a green tick next to your form.

Now you have mapped your Facebook form in ZipLeads, you will need to add this form to a workflow. Mapping this form ensures that all leads who fill out this form on Facebook will come into ZipLeads, adding them to a workflow will tell ZipLeads what to do with those leads.

To add your Facebook form to your workflow, follow the below steps:

  1. Click through to Automation on the left hand side menu

  2. Locate and click into your ‘Funnel Opt-in Form - Completed’ workflow or the workflow in which your Facebook leads come through

  3. If you are simply updating an existing lead form and the ‘Facebook Lead Form Submitted’ trigger is already there, you can simply click on the trigger and under the ‘Filters’ section, change the form to your new form and save

  4. If you did not have the ‘Facebook Lead Form Submitted’ trigger. You will need to click the ‘Add New Workflow Trigger’ box

  5. Search ‘Facebook’ and select ‘Facebook Lead Form Submitted’ as your trigger

  6. Click on ‘Add Filters’

  7. Select ‘In Form’ in the first box

  8. Select your new form you just created in the second box

  9. Save trigger

  10. If you were using the same offer for multiple Facebook ads, you can add multiple ‘Facebook Lead Form Submitted’ triggers in this workflow. Simply repeat steps 4-9 however it is good practice to update your workflow trigger names to differentiate which trigger belongs to which form

  11. Now when a lead submits your Facebook lead form, they will automatically come through this workflow, which then adds them to your pipeline, adding them to your nurture workflow which prompts them to book a call if they don’t book it straight off the back of filling in the Facebook lead form

  12. Mark your workflow as publish and save.
