This video will explain how to set exact times using wait timers within a workflow. You may wish to have certain workflows setup that are only triggered at a certain time of the year. For example, you may have a promo you run in July, and you only want automated messages you set up in a workflow to be sent on the 17th of July. Setting up advanced exact wait timers can help here.

To add an exact wait time in a workflow, follow the below steps:

1. Navigate to automations on the left hand side menu. This will show you your workflows

2. Open the workflow you wish to add a wait timer to or create a new workflow from scratch

3. Click on the + icon to add an action

4. Search ‘wait’ and select the ‘wait’ action

5. Toggle on the advanced window

6. Select all days of the week and keep the window timeframe as is

7. Select current month > is > July (or whichever month you wish) as your additional filter

8. Rename your action name as ‘Wait until July’ (or whichever month you selected) and save

9. Underneath this wait step you just added, click on the + icon and add a secondary wait step

10. Toggle on advanced window and select all days of the week (if you unselect specific days, keep in mind if the day of the month you select for this wait step falls on an unselected day, the actions you set up after this wait step will not be triggered)

11. Set your time. You can choose either window or exact, exact meaning your actions you set after this wait step will be triggered at exactly the selected time. Just keep in mind, if someone enters this workflow after this time, the action you set after this wait step will not be triggered for them until the following year. If you select window, you can select a window of time (say 9am - 5pm) for this message to be sent. This means if someone enters this workflow on this day at say 11am, they would still receive the action you set

12. Select current day of month > is > 17 (or whichever day of month you wish) as your additional filter

13. Rename your action name as ‘Wait until 17th July at 9am’ (or whichever date, month and time you select) and save

14. You can then add your action/s after this wait step that would be triggered. For example, you may want an SMS that is sent out letting them know of the promo you have running for today only

15. Publish and save your workflow and this will now be active.
