1. Have your contact list ready to import. It should include at least three columns, Name, Phone and Email, and it must be a CSV file.
2. Go to 'Contacts' on the left-hand side menu.
3. From the action bar select “Import Contacts”.
4. Drag and drop, or, upload your csv file then click next.
5. 4. Map your fields to ensure the details are coming over correctly. This steps tells ZipLeads where to store the information on the Contact Card. For example, “First Name” from the CSV file should be mapped to “First Name” in ZipLeads and “mobile” should be matched to “phone”. Once all necessary fields are mapped you can tick “don’t import data in unmatched columns” if you have extra fields left that do not need to be included. Then select “next”.
6. Make a name for your import. Be sure to be specific with what you name the import e.g. list of current members.
7. Select “Advanced” and then change the primary contact preference to Phone. This means it will search for duplicate contacts based on the phone number, you can then add a secondary preference and set it as Email.
8. You can then choose to add a tag to these contacts and / or add them to a workflow. Once you are happy with these settings you can hit submit.
9. You can then press the 'click here' button to view the progress of the import.
