Before you start
Ensure a payment provider connected in the Integrations section of your account (see the separate video on integrating a payment provider)
1. Open the Products tab in Payments
Click Payments in the left-hand menu.
At the top of the page, click the Products tab.
You'll see a list of any products already in the account, with their image, name, product type and last updated date.
2. (Optional) Import products in bulk from a CSV
Click Import as CSV (top right).
Click Download sample CSV, fill it out with your products, then drag the file into the upload area or click to browse.
Click Upload & Preview to create the products in bulk.
Tip: Use the sample CSV as your template so the columns match what ZipLeads expects.
3. (Optional) Import an existing subscription from Stripe
Click Import from Stripe (top right).
Select the Stripe price you want to bring across.
Optionally define a one-time setup fee to be charged on it.
Choose to import the product and price — the product is then created in your account.
Watch out: This only imports recurring subscription products, and only applies if Stripe is your payment provider.
4. Start a new product from scratch
Click + Create Product (top right) to open the product builder. The builder has four sections down the left: Product Information, Pricing, Variants and Search Engine Listing.
5. Set the store visibility, title and description
Use the Include in Online store toggle to control whether the product is visible and available for purchase in your online store.
In Title, enter the product name. This is shown wherever the product is available for purchase.
In the Description editor, write a detailed overview of the product.
6. Add a product label and collection
Tick Enable Product Label to assign a custom label to the product (useful for visual badges or internal organisation), then set how long the label stays visible.
Under Product Collection, select an existing collection, or click the + button to create a new one — give it a Collection Name, optionally upload an image, choose the Collection Type (Manual or Smart) and click Save.
Tip: Collections group similar products together for better organisation and presentation.
7. Configure the tax options
Under Product Tax Code, select a tax category for the product so automatic tax can be calculated at checkout. Leave it blank to apply your default global tax settings.
Under Include tax in prices, choose As per Global Settings, Yes (price shown includes tax) or No (tax shown as a separate charge).
Tick Attach Tax rates if you handle taxes manually.
8. Set the statement descriptor and upload product media
Expand Additional options and use the Statement descriptor field to override the default account name that appears on a customer's bank statement.
In Product Media, click to upload or drag and drop an image to represent your product (SVG, PNG, JPG or GIF, max 800x400px).
9. Choose the pricing type
In the Prices section, select the Type dropdown:
Onetime — charges the customer a single fee.
Recurring — adds billing cycle options (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly or custom), plus a trial period, number of payments and any setup fees.
10. Enter the amount, inventory and margin
In the Amount field, enter the exact price and choose your currency.
Optionally enter a Compare-at price to show the original price marked down.
Tick Track Inventory to manage stock levels, then enter the Available Quantity. Tick Continue selling when out of stock if you want sales to continue past zero.
Tick Add Margin to track margin or markup by entering a cost price or margin, as an amount or a percentage.
Expand Additional options to add a price description and optionally grant access to a membership offer.
11. Add further prices if needed
Click + Add another price to add more pricing options for the same product.
12. Add variants
In the Variants section, add the option name (for example, Colour).
Enter the option values (for example, Red, Blue and Green), then select Done.
Click + Add another variant if you need more options.
Tick Track Inventory to limit how many of each variant can be sold, then give each variant its own Price, Compare-at price and Available QTY.
Tip: Variants are for different versions of the same product, such as colours or sizes.
13. Complete the search engine listing
In the Search Engine Listing section:
Enter an SEO title — concise, relevant and including keywords users might search for.
Enter an SEO description — a brief, keyword-rich summary of the product.
Set the handle, which determines the product's unique URL path.
Tip: These fields are optional but recommended, as they improve how easily the product is found online.
14. Save the product
Click Save at the top right. Your new product now appears in the products list and can be used anywhere in your account to take payments.
Notes
Products can be used to take payments on funnels, websites and online stores, within invoices, and through one-time payment links.
