This video goes through how to set up a ZipLeads workflow that fires a webhook to Mindbody whenever a trigger such as a form submission happens. The webhook creates or updates the contact in Mindbody and adds the chosen pricing package to them.

Before you start

  • Your Mindbody Data settings completed in ZipLeads (Site ID, site name, site location and username)

  • At least one pricing package added under Price Package

  • A trigger already built in ZipLeads, for example an opt-in form or order form

1. Copy the webhook URL for your pricing package

  • Go to your MindBody Data Page via Connections > MindBody

  • Select the pricing package you want to use from the drop-down (arrowed in red).

  • Click Click to Copy Webhook Url underneath the drop-down.

The URL is now on your clipboard, ready to paste into a workflow.

Step 1

Tip: Each pricing package has its own webhook URL, so copy the one that matches the offer you are promoting.

2. Open Automation in your ZipLeads account

Go back into your ZipLeads account and click Automation in the left menu.

Step 2

3. Setting up a new workflow

  • On the Workflows tab, click Create new workflow (top right)

  • Click Add New Workflow Trigger, then pick the trigger that suits your offer from the Workflow Trigger panel.

  • In this example the trigger is Form Submitted, for the seven day trial opt-in, an order form submission works the same way.

Step 5

6. Add a Webhook action

  • Click the plus icon under the trigger to add your first action, then scroll down the Actions panel and choose Webhook.

7. Paste the Mindbody webhook URL

In the Webhook panel:

  • Leave METHOD set to POST.

  • Paste the copied webhook URL into the URL field.

  • Optionally rename the step in ACTION NAME, for example Webhook To Mindbody.

  • Save the action.

Step 7

8. Save and publish the workflow

Check the workflow now shows your trigger followed by the webhook step, then click Save. Switch the toggle from Draft to Publish when you are ready for it to run live.

Step 8

Tip: Use Test Workflow first if you want to confirm the contact reaches Mindbody correctly.

Notes

  • When the webhook fires, Mindbody creates the contact if they do not already exist, or updates them if they do. The selected pricing package is then added to that new or existing contact. For a seven day trial, for example, unlimited classes for seven days is added and expires after seven days. If the package is a paid one, the contact is not charged. There are no payment details held in Mindbody for them, so the offer is simply added as if they had bought it.
