This video will show you how to connect an existing WhatsApp Business Account to ZipLeads. Please note if you connect an existing WhatsApp account you will not be able to use this outside of ZipLeads due to a restriction imposed by Meta.
If you do not already have an existing WhatsApp Business Account, this video will also show you how to create one so you can use WhatsApp to message your contacts within ZipLeads.
Connect Your Existing WhatsApp Business App
1. Navigate to Settings > WhatsApp and select Connect your WhatsApp
2. Follow the on-screen instructions to begin the registration process
3. Click Connect a WhatsApp Business App, then tap Next
4. Add your WhatsApp Business phone number and tap Next
5. Review your WhatsApp Business Account details and make any corrections before proceeding
6. Import contacts and up to six months of chat history from the WhatsApp Business App into LeadConnector.
Update your WhatsApp Business App to the latest version before this step.
Look for a message from the official Facebook Business account and scan the QR code when prompted.
7. Scan the QR code to complete the connection. You can continue using your WhatsApp Business App alongside the Business Platform. Your contacts and conversations will also be securely synced across to ZipLeads.
8. Check all entered details carefully, then click Confirm. You can then select Finish to complete the connection

If a contact sends me a WhatsApp Message, and then an SMS message, can I reply on both?
Yes, you will select the option you want to reply to. Also, we have color-coated and labeled all inbound messages by channel. WhatsApp is a Channel and SMS and a Channel. The only part is you will need to select the correct channel when replying.
Can I use an Existing WhatsApp Number?
Yes, but there are restrictions. To utilize ZipLeads, you cannot use an existing WhatsApp number if it belongs to another WhatsApp account. This includes your personal WhatsApp Number. To change this, you need to release the number from an existing WhatsApp account. Then it can be added to an existing WhatsApp Account.
