Adding Point of Sale Categories into your RainMaker Settings to track Income by Category.

In RainMaker, you are able to break down your Income taken through your Point of Sale and Profit Generators into separate categories so that you can see how much you are invoicing from each category. Your Settings already come equipped with several, like Tuition, Down Payments, Merchandise..., but if you'd like to add in more, or break "Merchandise" into "Apparel," "Weapons" and "Gloves," RainMaker gives you that option.

Here's how:

To add a new Income Category, you'll simply go to Settings > Company > Account and Settings.


Then click on "Financial and POS Settings" 

Scroll down to the box labeled "POS Income Categories." 

In this box, you will add in your new Income Categories separated by commas with No Spaces in between. 

For example: Merchandise,Tuition,Event,Belt,Seminar,Private Lesson,Trials,Cancellation Fee

Then, just make sure to click Save before you Exit!
