Why am I being charged to cancel my membership?

Since membership benefits remain active until the end of the current billing cycle, cancellation will take effect at the conclusion of the cycle. If you cancel mid-cycle, you are still entitled to benefits for the remainder of the month, and no additional penalties or fees will be applied. If your account is past due, you will need to bring it to good standing to proceed with cancellation.

Additionally, if your account has an outstanding balance or a pending payment, the cancellation cannot be processed until the balance is cleared. To avoid additional charges, please ensure your cancellation request is finalized at least 24 hours prior to the next billing cycle. This helps in avoiding issues caused by incomplete or delayed cancellation processes. Notably, there are no penalties or additional charges associated with canceling your ZIN membership, provided all outstanding balances are addressed.

Why am I still being charged after cancelling my membership?

After canceling your membership, your access to ZIN benefits, including the rights to use Zumba trademarks, marketing materials, and other membership entitlements, will cease. Your license to teach Zumba classes will also expire, and any associated classes will be removed from Zumba’s platforms. Additional consequences include the cessation of all usage rights to Zumba-related trademarks, copyrights, and logos. Furthermore, all class listings associated with your profile will no longer appear on Zumba online platforms.

If you attempted to cancel your membership(s) but are still being charged, please check the status of your membership(s) by logging in to your account on zumba.com or strongnation.com, go to My Account, and then Instructor Network. On this page, you will be able to check if you have any active CURRENT PLAN. Additionally, ensure that you receive a confirmation email as proof of cancellation; this email serves as a key verification document. If no email is received, recheck your cancellation status and contact support if needed.

  1. Cancellations must be completed through our website and cannot be processed via email, letter, or voicemail. When you successfully cancel your ZIN and/or SYNC membership online, you will see a confirmation on screen, and a confirmation email will be sent to the email address associated with your account. If you did not receive a confirmation, your membership may still be active. To make this as easy as possible, please follow the links below to complete your request online:

2. If you have dual memberships for ZIN and SYNC, you must cancel each membership individually. For example, if you happen to cancel only the ZIN membership, associated memberships like SYNC will continue billing unless separately canceled. To avoid future charges, ensure that you explicitly cancel all related memberships.

3. If you are currently registered for an instructor training and you signed up for the auto-renew membership, you are a Pre-ZIN or Pre-SYNC member, and you are unable to cancel online until you complete your training. Contact us via phone so we can assist further with changes to your auto-renewal membership and training registration.

4. If you are within the initial 6-month term of your instructor membership, you are not eligible to cancel your membership or place it on hold. These restrictions are part of the mandatory initial term policy. For more information, please see the ZINTM License Agreement. After completing the 6-month term, you can freely manage your membership, including cancellations.

5. If your ZIN membership includes On-Demand training, self-cancellation is not available. Due to the linkage between your On-Demand training and membership, you must contact the Zumba support team to manually process the cancellation. Provide your contact details and availability for assistance.

6. Ensure your cancellation request is completed at least 24 hours before your next billing cycle. This precaution is necessary to avoid being billed for the following month's membership due to an incomplete cancellation process.
