What is the ZIN Mentoring Program?
Our dynamic 8-week Mentoring Program provides a unique 1-on-1 experience to help take your teaching skills to the next level. We pair seasoned ZIN™ Members (Mentors) together with other ZIN™ Members who are searching to improve their skills (Mentees), taking them from where they are, to where they want to be!
As a mentee, you will:
Receive coaching and honest feedback from an experienced ZIN™ member
Choose which skills to improve, from cueing to creating playlists
Gain new perspectives and insights on teaching
Communicate and schedule meetings on your own time
Who Can Participate as a Mentee?
Mentees will typically be new ZIN™ Members who haven't yet taught their first Zumba® class. Other common mentees are ZIN™ Members who, while not new to ZIN™, still haven't taught regularly or who have had problems with their teaching skills.
What skills can I get help with?
Mentees will be able to select up to three of the following topics they need help with:
Feel the Music
Playlist Planning
Cueing
Warm Ups
Basic Rhythms
Music Selection
Modifications and Layering
Cool Downs
Class Interaction
Basic Safety Considerations
How to get started?
Tell us about yourself and what areas you want to improve in. APPLY HERE!
Based on the criteria, plus your location and communication preferences, we'll match you with an experienced ZIN™ Member.
Next, you'll meet your Mentor and start establishing goals, check-ins, and future meetings.
Work hand in hand to sharpen your skills over 8 weeks, and reach your goals with the help of your new Mentor.
How many times can I be a mentee in the program?
As many times as you'd like! Whether you just graduated, ended early, or want to revisit the program at a later date - there are no limitations to how many times you can enroll as a mentee to improve your skills.
