Tier 1 news is the set of scheduled U.S. releases that move markets hardest:
FOMC — Federal Reserve rate decisions
NFP — Non-Farm Payrolls
CPI — Consumer Price Index
PCE — Personal Consumption Expenditures
GDP — Gross Domestic Product

ORIGIN | Allowed — no restrictions |
DAILY | Allowed — no restrictions |
INSTANT | Restricted — 5 minutes before and after the release |
On INSTANT accounts
Trading is restricted for 5 minutes on either side of a Tier 1 release — a 10-minute window in total. Outside that window, trade normally.
Trading inside this window breaches the account. A breached INSTANT account is closed permanently; to trade again you purchase a new INSTANT account.
