What are tags?
Tags are labels you add to groups in Stacks so you can find and sort them quickly. Every tag belongs to a category. For example, a Year category might hold 2026 and 2027, and a Type category might hold Tryouts and Main Event.
After your groups are tagged, you can filter and organize your Groups page by any category.
Where do I manage tags?
Go to your organization's Groups page and click MANAGE TAGS. Each category shows up as a card with its tags. The number next to a tag is how many groups use it.
How do I create a category?
On the Manage tags page, click CREATE CATEGORY.
Type a name, like Year, Session or Type.
Press Enter or click outside the field to save.
How do I add or remove tags?
Add a tag: On the category card, click + Add tag, type the tag name and press Enter.
Remove a tag: Click the X next to the tag, then DELETE TAG. This removes the tag from every group that uses it.
Delete a category: Click the trash icon on the category card. Its tags come off every group that uses them.
How do I tag a group?
When you create it: Click CREATE GROUP. In step 1, pick tags in the Tags field along with the group name and device group.
After it's created: Open the group and click + Add tag next to Tags, or click the pencil icon. In Edit Details, update the Tags field and click SAVE CHANGES.
How do I tag a lot of groups at once?
On the Manage tags page, click ASSIGN IN BULK.
Choose one or more tags under Tags.
Choose the groups to tag under Groups.
Click CONTINUE.
Check the summary, like "Assign 1 tag to 1 group," and click ASSIGN.
Bulk tagging works well at the start of a season. For example, you can tag every tryout group with 2026.
Bulk assign only adds tags. To remove or change a tag on one group, open that group and edit it there.
How do I use tags on the Groups page?
Filter by: Pick one or more tags to show only the groups that have them. You can search inside the filter to find a tag quickly.
Group by: Pick a category, like Year or Event, to sort the list under headers. Each header shows how many groups it holds.
Tags column: Shows the tags on each group.
Tips for a clean setup
Keep categories broad and tag names short.
Agree on names with your staff so everyone tags the same way. For example, use 2026, not '26.
Tag new groups when you create them so your list stays organized.
Organize your groups
Log in to Stacks to set up your tags.
