What is Player Discovery?
Player Discovery is where coaches and scouts find players on Stacks, follow their progress and track how they develop over time. You can search every player with a Stacks profile, and players decide who can see their full data. Player Discovery is currently in free access for coaches and scouts.
How do I get started?
Go to stacks.est1845.com, choose Coach and create your account.
Enter your email, phone number, sport, level, affiliation, and role (optional)
Enter the verification code sent to your email.
Log in and enter the second verification code sent to your email.
Tip: If you don't see a code, check your junk or spam folder.
Coach accounts are verified by email domain. If yours isn't recognized, reach out to 1845 Support and we'll get you set up. A non-verified email domain can still access all Player Discovery features.
How do I find players?
Open Discovery from the side menu. There are two ways to search:
Players: Search any player by name. Each result shows their position, state, graduation year and high school.
Organizations: Browse the organizations on Stacks, open one to see its players, and use Filter by group to narrow the list to a team or event.
What can I see before a player accepts?
Click a player to open their profile. Before they accept your request, you'll see their basic info: location, graduation year, high school, travel team, handedness, positions, competition level, height and weight.
Metrics and contact information stay locked under Limited Access until the player approves your request. Some organizations, like Area Code, share results from their events with coaches, so you may see those metrics right away. Contact information always needs player approval.
How do I follow a player?
Open the player's profile from Discovery.
Click REQUEST FOLLOW.
The player gets your request and decides whether to accept. Once they do, their training sessions, metrics and contact information unlock, and you can add them to your groups.
How many players can I follow?
Every coach account has 50 player slots. Connected players and pending requests both use a slot. You can always see how many you have left in Player slots available at the top of Discovery and My Player Connections.
Where do I manage my players?
Open Players Connections from the side menu. My Player Connections has three tabs:
Tab | What it shows |
Connected Players | Players who accepted your request. Click a player to open their full profile. |
Requests | Requests you've sent that are waiting for approval. |
History | Every request you've sent, with the date, time and status, like Request Sent or Accepted. |
What can I do with a connected player?
Open a connected player's profile to:
View their metrics and percentiles for each technology
Click CONTACT INFORMATION to see their email and phone
Click Save to group to add them to one of your groups
Use the ⋮ menu next to their name for more information or to remove the player
How do groups work?
Groups help you organize the players you follow, like a watch list, a grad year or a position. Every coach account includes 2 groups.
Create a group: Open Groups from the side menu and click CREATE GROUP, or click CREATE GROUP inside Save to group.
Add a player: On a connected player's profile, click Save to group, pick the group and click SAVE.
Can I remove a player?
Yes, 90 days after the player accepted your request. Click the trash icon next to their name in Connected Players, or use Remove Player in the ⋮ menu on their profile. If it's too early, Stacks shows the first date you can remove them. Removing a player frees up the slot.
Can I cancel a request?
Yes, from the Requests tab. To protect players from repeat requests, you can cancel a request to the same player twice in 90 days. Stacks warns you before your second cancellation, and a third locks you out of requesting that player for 90 days. If a player says they never got your request, ask them to check the email on their Stacks account before you cancel and resend.
Tips
Pending requests use slots too, so send requests in waves instead of all at once.
Use one group for your active list and the other for players you want to keep an eye on.
Watch your email. You'll hear from us when a player responds to your request.
