Introduction

Creating surveys for your checklists in 1Place is a convenient way to allow anyone to complete a checklist without requiring them to log in. Each survey generates a unique link (URL) and a QR code, enabling participants to access and complete the checklist in their web browser. Please note that certain features like auto-save and ticket notifications are not applicable to surveys.

Use Cases in Childcare and Retail

In the Childcare Industry, examples of using this feature include:

  • Gathering feedback from parents/teachers.

  • Verifying the health conditions of visitors, parents, and children.

  • Communicating excursion details and obtaining sign-offs.

In the retail industry:

  • Conducting anonymous evaluations.

  • Implementing customer satisfaction surveys.

  • Managing visitor forms.

and more.

To create a survey, follow these steps

1. Click the "Checklists" and make sure that you are under the "Checklist Templates" tab.

2. Locate the checklist you wish to turn into a survey. Under the "Survey" column, click the number button.

3. You will see a list of all surveys you've created. To add a new one, click "+ New Survey."

4. In the next window, you'll find various options with different purposes:

  • Survey Link – This unique survey link (URL) is auto-generated as you create a new survey.

  • QR Code – A QR code corresponding to the survey link can be downloaded.

  • Survey Name – By default, the checklist template name serves as the survey name, but you can modify it if necessary.

  • Survey Expiry Date – Optionally, set a date for when the survey will end or expire.

  • Welcome Message – A message that will appear when users click the survey link before they begin the checklist.

  • Text answers to copy to form name - Choose the number of text field answers to include in the survey/checklist's name. For instance, if your survey collects first and last names in separate fields, selecting '2' text answers will embed these names in the form's name.

  • Email completed Surveys to – You can add one or more email addresses to which the completed surveys will be sent. If you wish to automatically send responses to a non-1Place user, simply type in the email address and press the Enter key to input. Repeat the same if you have multiple email addresses to add.

  • Survey for – Choose whether to assign this survey to the Center or Room.

  • Use Franchise/Site Alias to Select Site - Choose the center or room aliases you want to use, or manually select them in the 'Select Site' option.

5. Lastly, you can choose to "Save" or "Save and Copy" the survey you created.

  • Save: After saving the survey using this button, you will be redirected to the page where you can view the list of surveys created for the checklist template.

  • Save and Copy: Selecting this option allows you to save this survey, and then create another survey with the same setup but a different URL and QR Code. You can then make adjustments to specific settings as needed. This feature simplifies the process, saving you from creating multiple surveys from scratch, especially when many share the same configuration.

On the page where you can view the list of surveys, you can click on 'COPY' to copy the unique link (URL) to your clipboard.

and show/download the QR Code via 'SHOW QR CODE':

You may wish to distribute the unique link via email, internal group chat tools, or print out the QR code and display it on your entrance door.
