Types of supported 3D Printers
3DPrinterOS is a cloud-based platform that supports over 1,000 different 3D printers. This allows you to manage and control your 3D printer from anywhere with an internet connection. To check if your 3D printer is supported, visit this list of supported printers. If your make and model are not listed, you can still use 3DPrinterOS by filling out this form.
There are two types of 3D printers supported by 3DPrinterOS: Industrial 3D Printers and Direct Drive 3D Printers.
Industrial 3D Printers
Industrial 3D printers, also known as Managed with Virtual Factory, are available only to users with a paid license. This category includes most 3D printers on the market. With 3DPrinterOS, you can virtualize and manage all processes for these 3D printers, and other users can submit jobs to the queue based on their permissions.
Features:
No Direct Drive: Requires manual file upload from 3DPrinterOS instead of sending files through the web interface.
No Slicing: Slicing must be done outside of 3DPrinterOS.
No Active Connection: You cannot monitor the camera or printer status.

Direct Drive 3D Printers
3DPrinterOS supports many popular desktop 3D printers that can be directly driven through the Cloud. This feature allows you to prepare a model, submit it from the cloud, share it with others, and monitor the printer’s status and camera.
