The material tracking feature is a valuable tool for organizations to inform users about the material, color, and filament remaining in the 3D printer.

How to enable Material Tracking?

  1. Go to the Printers Page

  2. Go to the Printer settings in the three-dot menu

  3. Enable the Material tracking toggle

  4. Specify the material color, material type, filament remaining, and nozzle size. None of these are required, so you can choose to track only one parameter if needed.

  5. Voila! The material data will appear on the printer line and in the printer selection pop-up.

It is possible to trace both extruders for dual extrusion printers

6. If there is not enough material, the user won't be able to start the print job
