👨‍🍳 How do I set my labor goals in 5-Out?

Updated over a year ago

5-Out supports two different types of labor goal setting. You can either set labor goals as a percent of sales or you can set your labor goals based on target Sales per Labor Hour.

If you don't update your labor goals in 5-Out, your default is set to 25% of sales.

⛹️ To set your labor goals as a percent of sales:

  1. Log in to 5-Out

  2. Click on “Settings,” the gear icon at the bottom of the menu on the left side of your screen

  3. Select “Restaurant Info," the fork and knife icon directly below the gear

  4. Update the “Weekly Target Hourly Labor Budget” field by entering in your target labor spend as a % of sales

⌛ To set your labor goals as based on Sales per Labor Hour targets:

  1. Log in to 5-Out

  2. Click on “Settings,” the gear icon at the bottom of the menu on the left side of your screen

  3. Select “Restaurant Info," the fork and knife icon directly below the gear

  4. Update the “Sales per Labor Hour Details” field by entering your target sales per labor hour

📅 To set different target hourly labor budgets by day:

  1. Log in to 5-Out

  2. Click on “Settings,” the gear icon at the bottom of the menu on the left side of your screen

  3. Select “Restaurant Info," the fork and knife icon directly below the gear

  4. Click the hyperlink next to the prompt: "Need to track different target for different days?"

  5. Select the pencil icon

  6. Update the target hourly labor budgets by day

  7. Click "Apply" to save

🥐 Not all restaurants require different target hourly labor budgets by day. A good use case for this functionality would be a bakery that has extra prep to do on Sunday for the week ahead.
