In this article, you can read more about changing the way you receive emails, such as challenge emails and promotional emails, and about setting a pause period for receiving challenge emails.
You can change your email preferences under your profile settings. You can find this by first going to your profile. To find your profile, click on the circle with the icon in the top right corner.
Next to your profile you will find your Mail preferences.
In your Mail preferences you can change various settings for receiving e-mails. You can change these at any time.
Promotional emails
An e-mail is sent out once in a while, when new training courses, features or other news are launched within 5miles. This may be an email that a new Power BI track is available, or that you can download certificates for your completed tracks. This keeps you up to date with the latest training and functionalities to further improve your skills. These emails are not sent very often (once a month at most). If you would rather not receive this news, then uncheck this option under 'Promotional e-mails'. You can change this at any time.
Challenge e-mails
Challenge e-mails are e-mails that you receive to remind you that a new, personal challenge is ready for you in the 5miles learning tool. You can choose to turn these reminders off by clicking on the slider under 'Challenge e-mails'. However, we do not recommend this as it increases the chance that you will forget to make the challenges. If you find the frequency of the e-mails too high, you can also choose to adjust the days and times. You can read more about this in this article.
If you have deactivated the challenge e-mails, it is still possible to create challenges. You can log into 5miles at any time and start a challenge from your Dashboard.
