How do I use lesson plans in the classroom?

Find ready-to-use lesson plans with slides and teacher notes.

After you've assigned a course or unit, you'll teach one lesson plan at a time. If you only want to assign activities for one lesson plan at a time, you can do that, too. Watch this video for an overview of lesson plans.

To teach a lesson plan from a course or unit you've already assigned:

  1. Click Classes and open the class you're teaching.

  2. Click Lesson Plans and select a course or unit. Note: Start Here indicates where you left off last and is a good place to start.

  3. Select a lesson plan to open it. You'll see:

    1. Summary: Estimated times for each activity segment in the lesson plan with a description.

    2. Lesson Prep: Links to any worksheets that need to be printed, answer keys to download, and previews for games and articles.

    3. Class Presentation: Here is where you'll find slides with teacher notes. You can:

      1. Present slides for the class, straight from the app. Note: This presentation mode does not display slide notes.

      2. Download PDF to use offline or with presentation software.

      3. Print Notes to have a reference for you or a sub as you're presenting. You can save these as a PDF if needed.

      4. Copy to Google Slides to make a copy you can edit or modify however you'd like. These changes will only appear for you.

To teach a lesson plan outside of a course or unit:

    3. Class Presentation: Here is where you'll find slides with teacher notes. You can:
