Can I modify or cancel an order after it's placed?

This article explains what happens if you want to change or cancel an order after submitting it in the CUSP app.

Modifying an Order

Orders on CUSP cannot be directly edited once submitted.

  • If you want to adjust the price, quantity, or order type, you’ll need to cancel the existing order and place a new one.

  • This applies to all order types — market, limit, stop, stop-limit, and trailing stop.

  • Creating a new order after cancelling ensures you always have full control and clarity on your trades.

Cancelling an Order

You can cancel an order as long as it hasn’t been fully executed.

  1. Open the CUSP app and tap History →Pending → Orders.

  2. Select the order you’d like to cancel.

  3. Tap Cancel.

  4. The order will move to your Completed History, marked as Cancelled.

Timing Matters

  • Market orders: These usually fill instantly during trading hours, so cancellation is rarely possible.

  • Limit, stop, and trailing stop orders: These may remain open for hours or days until conditions are met. You can cancel them anytime before they are triggered.
