What should I do if I suspect unauthorised access to my account?

Learn the steps to take immediately if you think someone has accessed your CUSP account without permission.

Updated over a month ago

Your security is our top priority. While CUSP uses bank-grade encryption, biometric login, and regulated partners to keep your account safe, we want you to know exactly what to do if you ever suspect unauthorised access.

Step 1: Secure your login

  • Immediately change your CUSP password.

  • If you use biometric login (Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint), re-enable it after resetting your password.

  • Make sure your email account (linked to CUSP) also has a strong password, since email access can compromise logins.

Step 2: Check your recent activity

  • Review your portfolio transactions (deposits, withdrawals, trades).

  • Look for any actions you don’t recognise.

  • Withdrawals are only possible to bank accounts in your name — but checking ensures nothing unusual is happening.

Step 3: Secure your devices

  • Run a security check on your phone (update iOS/Android, check for malware).

  • Log out of CUSP on all devices and sign back in with your new credentials.

  • Avoid using public Wi-Fi or shared devices for trading.
