It's the last weekend of the month, and you are ready to send a great email or SMS campaign through Elevate to drive traffic! However, when you set up your campaign, your customer list shows zero or very few customers. šŸ˜§Has this ever happened to you?

If so, here are a few tips to help you plan your month out and reach as many customers as possible with the best campaigns.

Let's Talk About Reach
Through Elevate Marketing, you have the opportunity to reach each of your customers 2 times per month. This can be 2 emails, 2 SMS messages, or a combination of the two.

If you're scheduling many campaigns early in the month, you may see your Adjusted Potential Reach significantly decrease very early each month. As you are hitting your 2 messages per customer per month, maxed-out customers for the month are being removed from your send list.

Your list will be at full strength again starting the next month. For the remainder of the current month, you won't be reaching your complete list - or worse; you're reaching no one.

Make Your Two Reaches Count
You will have only two opportunities to reach each customer monthly, so make them count! This is where having a monthly strategy for your Elevate Marketing campaigns is extremely beneficial.

When are your slowest days each month? Are you constantly pushing for numbers in the last week of the month? These are great questions to ask yourself before formulating a plan for your Elevate campaigns. Determine when you are hoping to draw in customers and seize those opportunities with store-funded sales or Boost National promos.

You may also want to visit the Homepage Dashboard. This area has a wealth of information on what your customer list consists of demographically. You may find out that your primary audience has a tenure of under 2 years, so you may want to send an accessory promo to get them re-engaged with your store. Or, if most of your existing customers are NOT on a $50/$60 plan, you may not want to send the AAL campaign that only targets $50/$60 plan subscribers. Now, with the Dashboard, you can effectively plan your monthly marketing.

Next Steps: Set Up Your Campaigns for Success
Knowing when you want to send your campaigns, how do you know which type of campaign to use? At the beginning of each month, we will provide you with a calendar of the available monthly campaigns on Elevate. These campaigns will range from local, store-funded offers to Boost Mobileā€™s national offers or programs.

Once you have discovered what your audience looks like, what type of customers you want to reach, and when you want to send something, it is time to take an in-depth look at the campaigns. Start by clicking ā€œAdd This Promotion,ā€ and you will get a detailed view of what the campaign involves. Most importantly, you can see below the description are the audience filters.

This will show which segment of your customer list this campaign will reach. For example, if you click on the Add A Line campaign, it will only go to $50 & $60 plan subscribers. If you didnā€™t want to reach that part of your audience, you might want to continue looking at other campaign offerings. Using this information together with your homepage dashboard will give you more effective and strategic campaign sends.

Below is a sample planning strategy you can use with the calendar. This can help you quickly reach every possible customer with 2 Emails & 1 Text Message:

The campaign schedule above is a great place to start if you are scheduling campaigns on Elevate for the first time. Give it a try for a couple of months, gauge your store traffic and adjust if needed.Ā

PS. Don't forget Outbound Calling

Before or after your campaigns are scheduled, make sure to include outbound calling into your plans, if you have the module. Outbound Calling is a vital tool that allows you to follow up on these campaigns and start conversations with customers on their interests or needs.
