Create Your Product Categories
The very first thing you need to do in creation of your online store is to setup product categories. You have the ability to set up as many as you need. Event Caddy data shows that some of the most common product categories used are:
Sponsorship
Hole Sponsor
Beverage Cart Sponsor
Putting Contest Sponsor
Lunch Sponsor
Golf Cart Sponsor
Mulligans
Apparel
Dinner or Dinner Tickets
Raffle Tickets
To create your product categories, you'll perform the following steps:
Select Finances & Commerce -> Online Store and select the Manage Categories button from the top right of the page.
On the next screen select the 'New Product Category' button located in the top right-hand corner of your screen.
Now give your category a name and select the 'Create Product Category' button.
Repeat steps 2 & 3 for each product category you want to add.
